Are you kidding me?

We were talking about Pascal's Wager which is irrelevant.

Yes, that Pascal, who coined the wager named after him.

Philosophy is irrelevant in the sense that it is all, literally, opinion. I see your pascal and raise you one nietzsche.

You're going to raise me the man who once said: "Thou goest to women? Then do not forget thy whip"?

Nine out of 10 women knew how to take that whip away from Nietzsche, and Nietzsche knew it, so he stayed away from women.

I understand that you do too.

And you must be anencephalic if you think one philosopher "beats" another. Each philosophy stands alone; one cannot be better than another.

... because, according to you, "philosophy is irrelevant"?

However, Pascal was more than a philosopher; he was a mathematician who invented the first mechanical adding machine, and a scientist who demonstrated the effect of atmospheric pressure on the equilibrium of liquids, among other accomplishments.

Joe, you might want to drop that argument. An abacus is a mechanical adding machine.
