Poland votes down same-sex civil unions
The lower house of the Polish parliament Sejm rejected on Friday three bills on civil unions that would have recognized some legal rights for unmarried same-sex couples, dividing liberal minded and conservative members of the ruling party Civic Platform on a highly contentious issue in a deeply catholic country.
