I'm gay and have been out for over 30 years, but don't consider myself part of some "gay community".

It appears that you have some trouble understanding what you've read, or you have a huge chip on your shoulder. I said SOME gay folks are flamoyant and trying to force their sexuality upon people. I also said I don't care to see straight folks carrying on in public, it's something that's better off done behind closed door. You see, sex is something special between two people, its not something to be put on public display. And generally the people who throw around the "bigot" word, are usually bigotted people who aren't able to make a sensible arguement. I'm rubber, you're glue, everything you say, bounces off me, and sticks to you!

And yet, it would be so simple for you to avoid gay pride. It's just as easy as avoiding Mardi Gras or Carnival. Don't like it? Don't go.

Why should children be "shocked"?

A child is TAUGHT shame. They are not born with it. A child, fresh from a bath (DO people take baths where you live?), is hard to get back into clothes.

Isn't it interesting that Gay stuff is posted in a Transgendered forum? I don't read the Gay forum and I don't go to Pride celebrations. And neither does anyone I know that's TG. When you see "GURLS" at a Gay pride celebration, that's just Gays being an Over the top, Gurl for a day. Not a real TS/TG.

My wife and I have both worn Kilts in parades for the Irish and the Scottish holidays(Albeit, without a thong). Which is what he was wearing! I know personally, men who've "Gone commando" under their kilt. And the women who've lifted it (Their kilt) who've been shocked by the sight of a bare ass staring back at them, They put it down pretty quick. Women love to lift a guy's kilt. If a guy did that to them, they'd get hit with a pocketbook.
