BBC Encourages Staff to 'Befriend' Gay, Lesbian Colleagues

There are 14 comments on the Al Bawaba story from Sunday Oct 14, titled BBC Encourages Staff to 'Befriend' Gay, Lesbian Colleagues. In it, Al Bawaba reports that:

The BBC is encouraging staff to become 'straight allies' of colleagues who are gay, lesbian or have other gender identities. The move is an attempt to tackle what it calls a 'heteronormative culture', in which being straight is considered the norm.

This is totally disgusting. it IS a heteronormative culture. Heterosexuality IS normal. Homosexuality and LGBTQ is abnormal. Always has been, always will be no matter what kind of liberal, PC crap they try to shove down people's throats.

"staff who are heterosexual but 'actively promote' LGBT issues will wear pin badges or use email signatures to signify that they are 'allies' of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender colleagues."

You have got to be freaking kidding me! No way! This is so f*cked up!

Who in their right mind would work for a company like this?

"In a recent YouGov survey only 51 per cent of 18 to 24-year-olds said they identified as completely heterosexual."

If that is true then that is a sad testament to the state of our current society. If this is true that only proves the extent to which the brainwashing, indoctrination and recruitment efforts have worked on our youth. Very, very sad.

The interesting stat, Oscar, would be what percentage of the 49% who identify as completely heterosexual are actually sad, fulminatin' closet cases.

Remember, you are not alone.

The fact that "Oscar" is on this forum 365 days of the year, speaking in the harshest terms against everything LGBT, shows his compulsion to tell the world over and over again he is not LGBT.

If he was secure about his own sexuality, he would have no need to do this.

For heterosexuals, being straight IS the norm.

There's nothing wrong with straights befriending gays/lesbians.
