I think you might be legally obligated to divorce. At least, in Jeff's version of reality.
My wife is not gonna like this at all. She has put a lot of time in training me.

And what legally valid justification would you use to support this position?
Why do you NEVER provide legally valid justifications for ANY of your positions? "Because I say so" isn't legally valid. Is there ANYTHING that justifies your positions based on the law? Anything at all?
Didn't you know......Fundies don't need no stink evidence.......just ask Cooper, the lawyer defending the proponents of Prop 8.....lol!!!

<quoted text>Hey Lowell, I am in my 50's as well as my wife. We no longer produce children ( We still practice) does that mean I got to divorce her?
You poke fun, but some believe if a couple gets married and finds that one is infertile, then they are to divorce and the fertile partner is to remarry and procreate and the infertile is not permitted to remarry. A marriage without the chance of natural reproduction is not considered a valid Biblical marriage by these folks, so divorce is not just permitted is practically mandated.

I have also read that sex is only Biblically permitted during a woman's fertile cycle. Any other sexual contact is not permitted.

The rabbit hole is deeper than any of us can likely imagine if the truth is told as it was on this other forum.

Its happened to bed and breakfast owners. Parents in some schools are being forced to have their children learn about homosexuality against the wishes of the parents.
Look also what happened to Chick-fil-A.

Superstitions are the base for theism. Get rid of superstitious beliefs and religion would literally disappear over night. Just saying...cause-effect.

I did explain what you questioned. And initially there were no 'set parameters'. Afterwards you contained the discussion to America. So I gave you answers for this country.
You're the one that didn't believe in our day and age in America, people helped people within their communities. I showed it still happens.

The gay community will certainly use gay marriage as a way to harass any religious denominations that refuse to support them. It is religious persecution, sanctioned by the secular left in 2009.
Not having sex doesn't stop loving and wanting someone without needing to touch them. Not having sex doesn't remove the lust, if you have lusted in your heart you have already committed the sin of lust without acting on it, so don't play martyr. You have no idea what persecution is. Be a little girl surviving an assassination attempt because you dared to stand up to a false religion and demand girls be educated. No one holds the higher ground when it comes to morals. Jesus said, None are good but God, but many are still pretending to be the chosen ones. They aren't.

The straights can say they want to protect the sanctity of heterosexual marriage but so far they've done a very bad job of defending and protecting something they never treated as a sacred vow before God. Gays will fail the same way but if one has that right to fail so does the other. This nation is not a Theocracy like Iran. We can no longer stone people to death for committing adultery or teaching females how to read or burn witches at the stake. Many gays, Atheists, Pagans, Jews and Muslims died so we can keep Separation of Church and State along with all of our other freedoms. Thank your God for that and for them, but mostly thank our constitution, which is still a work in progress.

If heterosexuals had bothered to enforce the Christians laws against divorcing other than the grounds of adultery maybe fewer people would have taken their marriage vows so lightly. If heterosexual conservatives had created legislation to prevent serial marriages and enforce the adultery laws maybe you wouldn't have so many heterosexuals married four or five times. If they had taken marriage seriously all along, this fight to defend and protect marriage it might be taken seriously.

So where is the church when no laws are passed against child porn? Where is the church when the Klan moves into communities? Where is the church of God when another church of Hate protests veterans funerals? Where is the church when one more priest or preacher is charged with raping a child? The church will defend and protect a mass of cells as a human life until it has to pay for causing it's demise, then it's not a human anymore it's just a mass of cells again with no eyes, no hands. The truth is your churches never knew where they stood. They stand where it's most profitable for them, always have, always will.

Does anyone, other than teenage boys and their own hormones, in fact do this?
The poster stated... "Should we encourage women to have babies out of wedlock? Is that something society should encourage?"

Well considering we have a present society that devalues marriage, the fact that we have so many dead beat dads leaving mom's to take care of babies on their own, the fact that certain women groups preach through the media that they no longer need a man to survive and they can do it all on there own, including the raising of a child, the fact that we have an increase in single women using sperm clinics to have a baby instead of a relationship, I would say yes. Our society at present encourages pregnancy out of wedlock as an option to pregnancy from within a relationship.

This guy is really nuts. He will take something you say and twist it to mean something else and than call you a liar for saying what he insisted you said that you did not!
He claims to be an ex-mormon but has been on topix for at least four years defending the Mormon church.
He always insists he is right and will reinterpret what you say to make it so!
Show him an article supporting the guilt of Brigham Young in orchestrating the Mountain Meadows Massacre and he goes absolutely ballistic!
Most of the time I don't even read his hateful posts anymore.
lolol....fricking liar. You're a liar when you make yourself out to be one, do you understand? You keep saying you're full of honesty and truth and don't tell lies and aren't a rumourmonger. Yet you make a lying statement as follows...
"Show him an article supporting the guilt of Brigham Young in orchestrating the Mountain Meadows Massacre and he goes absolutely ballistic!"
This isn't about defending the LDS and for you to think that show's you're an idiot.
You keep saying you're full of truth and honesty and don't lie. You have stated those things over and over and over. Than in a bold faced lie you state Young orchestrated the MMM. Your problem is that there is no evidence to show he did any such thing. But for months you have repeatedly lied over and over and over stating there is proof he planned and carried out that massacre. And there is no proof. Not even the scholars that have spent years and decades reading the historical information can prove Young planned it and carried it out.
My point? QUIT BEING SUCH A PATHETIC OUT RIGHT LIAR. You're to old to be such a pathetic liar.
There is more circumstantial evidence to show Young didn't plan that massacre than there is circumstantial evidence to show he did. BUT IT'S ALL HEARSAY AND WEAK CIRCUMSTANTIAL EVIDENCE. There is no factual proof to show he did or didn't plan the attack. But you, an old honest, truth telling never lying so self called Christian state there is proof he planned it. And you're a liar. The opinions of scholars prove your a liar.
And I'll ride you on this for as long as you claim to be full of honesty and truth and state you say no lies while perpetuating a lie. That makes you a liar, that makes you nuts, get it?
And you want to speak about nuts? You're the one that blames living Mormons for the acts dead Mormons committed over ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY YEARS AGO. That's nuts!

I figured that out and thanks for the heads up:-)
lol... you know not who you're taking a heads up from. You should take some time and read his posts before you take a heads up from a guy that believes the God you believe in is a fake god. That the Bible is a book of crap and untrue, yet he chooses specific verses from that book of crap that's untrue and uses them for his theistic ideologies.
This guy your taking a heads up from, he believes in the near future, Mormons will run the US government and will establish a blood and guts theocratic Mormon government, basically reinstituting the death penalty for crimes where by a criminal's blood is spilled to make amends for his crimes. He believes the Mormons are going to take over the political seats of DC and than force all fifty states into a theocratic based constitutions to be ran by.
Next time you take a heads up from someone, get to know who you're getting chummy with, just saying :)

Anything I said could be made into law. After all, if we can legally kill babies via abortion then the govt could make any kind of law it wants.
