A REAL Christian isn't going to hold your hand, sing Kumbaya with you, and tell you that sinful lifestyles are okay.
SIN has consequences......perverted sexual lifestyles lead to diseases:
Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS/HIV)
Chancroid (Chancroid)
Chlamydia (Chlamydia)
Gonococcal Infection (Gonorrhea)
Granuloma inguinale (Granuloma inguinale)
Hepatitis , B (Hep B)
Herpes (Herpes)
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)
Human Papillomarivus (Genital Warts (HPV)
Lymphogranuloma venereum infection (LVG)
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID)
Pthiriasis (Crabs; Public Lice Infestation)
Syphilis , primary, secondary, early latent (Syphilis)
Syphilis , Late latent, or congenital (Syphilis)
Vaginosis , bacterial (Yeast Infection)
And yet, neither my husband or I have any of those, nor will we ever.

If you are not supporting gay marriage, then you are supporting all those things that supposedly bother you so much.

So don't be a hypocrite. if you are really concerned about that list, you will support same sex marriage.

Don't, and you're just another bigot attempting to misuse data to justify your prejudice.

I don't know Troth, and I don't know who you are either, but I do know as a parent that what you said to Troth is one of the most judgmental, hateful, and hurtful things any human being can say to another!
Go ahead and call yourself a born again Christian if you want to. Why not? You have a long history of hateful murderous people behind you all claiming to be born again and all behaving hatefully in ignorance of the work needed to actually be in compliance with the simple truth the historical Jesus shared.
And all of you bogus born agains can contemplate this scripture that Jesus stated especially for you:
Matthew 7:20-23 (New International Version,©2010)
20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
True and False Disciples
21 "Not everyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord," will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me on that day, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?"
23 Then I will tell them plainly, "I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!"
LOVE is the key that fits the narrow gate, it's not an easy path, and few follow it. Hate is the broad highway with the soft ride and with the comfy seats and the preacher tickling your ears with false promises that Karl Marx likened to the opium of the people.
Believe it or not there are actually websites by born again Christians that claim that the unconditional LOVE at the heart of the ministry of the historical Jesus is satanic!
Born again? As what?
Bravo!

There is no reason to think these things won't happen. After all, who would have thought 30 years ago that Americans would be confused about marriage and to think that same sex "marriage" would be taken seriously. Go figure.
It's not hard to figure at all. Homosexuality was vastly misunderstood for a long time. Today people have a lot more information (if they want it) and that has changed things. That's a good thing.

Things like pedophilia and bestiality will always be wrong because they necessarily create a victim by their existence.

Gay marriage does not. See how easy that was? It's called "thinking."

I hope that I get to see you stand in judgment before your God. I expect to wet my pants laughing at the look on your face as gays take their place at the right hand and you are cast into the darkness.

God wishes no man to perish but that all come to repentance, but he will not force you to repent. Homosexuals are not the children of God till they repent and come to Christ till then they are children of Satan.
I have many times and I know many who have left the lifestyle of homosexuality. They are doing wonderfully and married to the opposite gender now. It is a choice all things in life are about making decisions including who to sleep with and who to marry.
Their pain and struggles are due to their disobedience to God and living the lifestyle they are.
<quoted text>
Silly child, you need to learn to stop lying once you have been caught. You do not know anyone who has stopped being homosexual, any more than you know anyone who has stopped being blue-eyed. And for the same reason, too. Eye color, like sexual orientation, is bound up in one's genes and is not going to be changed.

Now, eye color can be hidden by contact lenses and sexual orientation can be buried under enough shame and guilt. Neither is a real change, and both can be unhealthy - even leading to permanent problems.

No. Someone in a same sex "marriage" where 2 men are involved has to take the role of a mom. That means some kids will have a man for mom.

Actually I'm finding your comments quite ignorant about the dangers of homosexuality. You want to live in your own little and ignore what is going on in other homosexuals who are confused and hurting.
It's arrogant and silly at the same time for you to suggest you know more about homosexuality than I do.

Not only am I gay, I live in a very gay community, own a gay business, and used to tend bar in gay bars for several years. I have heard more stories firsthand than you ever will. And the consistency is remarkable.

What do you think scientific studies often involve? Questioning people en masse. I've done that. Not in a controlled environment, but I've done that, just through the course of living.

When I tended bar, I saw hundreds of gay men and lesbians every day. I heard all their problems and issues. Most of them were either "I like so and so but he doesn't like me," or other pressing issues of the moment. Occasionally we'd have deeper discussions about family members or past relationships or God. And of course, a lot about Mariah, Whitney, Madonna, etc. LOL.

I got to know many of these people very well over time, and they trusted me with all kinds of secrets. I knew which few were HIV positive, I knew who had a tendency to drink too much, I knew who used to date whom, I knew who used to date whom until one of them beat the other one up.

I'm also involved with or used to be involved with or on the mailing list of dozens of health-related organizations. Some help out gay and straight people with HIV, or cancer, etc. When there is some new health risk to worry about, they put the word out. That's their job.

If any of these myriad of health issues you obsess about were really of concern, I'd know. Either I'd have them, or at least one of my closest friends who tell me everything would have them. I'll put it this way, if I ended up with some health issue just from "day to day gay stuff" then I would warn everyone I love, as would they.

You're just so full of it. You want to believe what you want to believe.

The fact that more HIV cases in America are among gay men does not translate to "most gay men have HIV." And that has already been refuted by one of your own links. The fact that you persist in telling a lie that has already been refuted by one of your own links makes everything you say completely suspect. You are not an honest broker in this discussion. You have shown you can't be trusted.

My life, on the other hand, is a fantastic example for other gay people (I would not say that to them for fear of sounding totally full of myself as I'm sure I just did, but I am saying it to you in context.) Again, I am with a solid, trusted life partner and I don't have worries in life. We take care of each other, we will never have any health issues beyond the usual, like if somebody gets cancer or something unexpected like that.

If you were truly concerned about the health of gay people (and I wish you'd stop pretending you were) then you would recommend MY life to them, not a deceitful life of pretending to be straight, which they will never be. There is no downside to being me.

No, see, you and they misunderstand the fundamental truth that we live in America where everyone is free and equal.

That means you get to have whatever opinions you want, but you don't get to force others to live by them.

Where they clash, the more affected party gets the win. For example, many millions of people were prejudiced against black folks. They were bigots. The fact that they numbered in the millions didn't make them any less bigoted. They thought their rights were being infringed upon if they did not get to express their bigotry in ways relating to housing, education, marriage, etc.

The law responded by clarifying that the rights of those black folks outweighed your hurt feelings or imagined right to act on your prejudice.

Nope you are wrong.
If you put a gay porn in front of them they will tear it up and then ask why would you tempt them to fall back into sin.
That is like putting a needle in front of a drug addict and saying now do not teach that needle it has heroin in it or a beer in front of a alcoholic. Both of these things if you tempt someone they will fall back into the lifestyle.
If you want to die and burn in hell for your perversion that is on you, but stop being ignorant to the fact that men and women all the time come out of the lifestyle of homosexuality.
You can change your sexual orientation you just do not want to your to bound by the lies of Satan.
God has changed it for many men and women so again you are wrong. You make excuse after excuse for your sin.
<quoted text>
No one has ever changed. Do not lie. There are simple tests that prove a person's orientation. The people you talk about will tear up the gay pron BECAUSE it is still arousing to them. It is showing them the PROOF that their orientation has not changed, in spite of the guilt and shame that has forced them to believe that they OUGHT to change. You cannot change your genetic structure on a whim.
For the first time, researchers at Cornell University used a specialized infrared lens to measure pupillary changes to participants watching erotic videos. Their findings are published August 3 in the journal PloS ONE.

Previous research explored these mechanisms either by simply asking people about their sexuality or by using such physiological measures as assessing their genital arousal.
From here:
http://www.futurity.org/science-technology/ey...

The tests are available. If they have REALLY changed, they could take this test and prove it.

Oh, and before you try and claim that the source might not be valid, this site is described thus:

Tony,
Your real father divorced your mom at 5? That explains why you geared toward another male because you longed for your real father and his love and you sought it out in another male. Does not matter if there was another male role model. A father's presence in a child's life is very important especially the natural father. Your step dad cannot fulfill the same role as your natural father.
