Did you know that there is a tribe of humans where the men actually do lactate? The surrounding terrain is so impoverished that both parents need to forage in order for the family to survive. While one parent is out foraging, the other parent is nurturing and nursing the young.
I won't reveal the location of the village lest some of the overly zealous bible literalists here take up a collection amongst themselves to fund a crusade, and than go burn the village and it's occupants to the ground in defense of their god.
I thought that was apocryphal.

PM me a link. I'd like to be sound about that.

When a person gets older than can make changes. If a left handed person practices enough they can learn to write comfortably with their right hand. When I used to play baseball I could hit left handed though i was right handed. People are quite capable of going against their natural inclinations. This is what is necessary for a civilized civilization.
We do force our children to go against their natural inclinations all the time. If we didn't they would turn out to be animals.
Humans are a species of animal.

That is quite a generalization. I know plenty of Christians who believe these things i.e. "evolution and the Big Bang theory, global warming and just about anything that is science related." I could probably find a number of atheist who deny these things to.
What is the origin of sexual orientation?
You don't have to be religious to screw up the planet. Most do it out of greed and ignorance and not for religious reasons.
Ah, now there we can agree! Yes, many sane Christians DO accept evolution and the BB theory, since there is overwhelming objective evidence supporting them. I think that you would have a hard time finding meany athiests that disagree - some maybe but not many.

And I absolutely agree that screwing up the planet is a result of greed and not religion. That was my point.

Don't be a hypocrite.
You have a fundamental misunderstanding of this entire situation.

It is impossible to raise your son "to be homosexual." Impossible.

However he was born, he was born. You can't change him in either direction.

If you raise a boy by taking him to gay pride parades and reading pro-homosexual literature, there is zero increased probability he will be gay vs if you don't do those things. In fact, this is not an "if" scenario. We know for a fact there have been boys raised by two gay dads who took their kids to pride parades and read "pro-homosexual" literature. That didn't make the kids gay. It CAN'T.

Just like I, growing up in the 70's and 80's, with zero gay role models on television or anywhere, with zero known gay people in the family or neighborhood, could not be influenced to be straight. I was born gay. My two brothers and sister are all straight. You can't "influence" a child to be gay or straight. It's impossible.

Educate yourself.

As I believe in heaven, I would have no problem with a person going there, where ever it is. If the person who is said to have rose up from the dead has also been reported doing other things not normally one can do, like walking on water, making the blind see, bringing the dead back to life, it wouldn't be that hard to image him coming back from the dead. Especially when you had the number witnesses to the event that Jesus had.
I know in my personal life I have seen and witness things most people wouldn't believe. One example would be that my sister use to live in a very old house. It was haunted. The spirit that lived there use to pull practical jokes on my sister. One was pulling plugs on the lights she was using. I have seen that one. I believe I have a ghost of someone pet living in my house. I have a dog who jumps on my bed. One time I was reading in bed, and thought my dog had jumped on it. When I put my book down to look, my dog wasn't there. But I could feel what felt like was my dog walking on the bed. This has happened to me several times.
Science has not found all the answers and questions to reality in the universe. Much is still unexplained. The idea that life can come from chaos is just as ridiculous to me as a dead man coming back to life is to you. Your God is math. You think it is good science that if you wait long enough anything could happen, by accident. That isn't reasonable either. Chaos only destroys, it never constructs.
Sigh. If only we could actually measure the soul...

Of course, atheists would still say that the existence of the soul does not prove that there is a Deity.

A person does not have to follow his inclinations. What do you think discipline is all about? Only animals follow their inclinations.
All men are heterosexual because that is what their plumbing is for.
And that is quickly dismissed by the fact that I am gay and I have amazing discipline and willpower.

I have never smoked cigarettes or drank coffee, or done drugs (tried pot a few times, didn't do anything, probably because I don't know how to smoke cigarettes LOL.)

I gave up soda, processed sugar, meat, and dairy products without any struggle or trouble. I can drink a beer or two without going crazy and getting trashed.

I refrained from most kinds of sex unless I was in a committed relationship.

I'm sure I can come up with more examples. The point is, if a person has no discipline, it's not just confined to one area. Either you have it or you don't.

In fact, as I may have mentioned before, I didn't so much as kiss a man until I was 24 years old because I personally needed to reconcile it with God first. He did not open my eyes until I was 24.

So don't talk to me about discipline and willpower. At one point, I wanted to be straight. There is no way to change. That is a fact. And you know it, because you did not choose to be straight.

There is no way that the Holy Spirit leads thousands of different churches who teach various interpretations of scripture.
Someone is wrong; in fact, many are wrong!
There is only one uniform teaching of the Bible that qualifies and that is the Catholic Church, who was given the AUTHORITY to interpret scripture by Jesus Himself!.
Oh I wouldn't go that far. The Catholic Church barely even goes by any version of the bible. It's more tradition and ceremony than substance.(I was an altar boy.)

If you are stupid enough to believe an animal can be homosexual then you are really gullible.
According to a recent article I read of a dog going to be put down to sleep because it was showing homosexual tendencies a person said that animals to do things like this to show their more dominant than the other.
While dogs are known to occasionally display homosexual behavior, animal experts say a male dog mounting another male dog is not a sign of sexual orientation but rather a sign of dominance.

<quoted text>
I AM (among others) an animal behavior expert. Especially of the human animal. lol

Sometimes it is dominance. Sometimes it is not, especially among social species that pairbond (some for life).

It's good that you can see a distinction between behavior and orientation in humans. Try to keep that in the forefront of your mind during these discussions.

What the non-human observations demonstrate is that erotic behaviors, desire, and even pairbonding arise in those neural structures that are NOT distinctly or uniquely human.

For example, the impulses that cause your heart to beat, the nitrogen breathing reflex, arousal, etc. are all produced by brain structures that we share with non-human animals. In mass, only about 1/6th of our brain is distinctly human in structure AND function.

Still, we must not confuse mere erotic behavior with orientation.

My Bible is based on the Hebrew and it has English underneath the actual Hebrew text. It shows me first what the Hebrew says and then what the English meaning is for the Hebrew. You have no proof it has been altered and until you do I will trust this Bible. In fact I proved last night it was Liam that altered the Hebrew and said exceeded had to do with David and Jonathon getting a hard on when in fact in the Hebrew exceeded for the passages under David and Jonathan has nothing to do with a sexual content. They were close friends not lovers as some homosexuals claim.

How can it be lowering itself when the actual Hebrew writing is in the Bible? I believe all Bibles are okay because God sees the intent of them. A lot of them are made to be understood better, but that does not take away their true meaning. Every Bible has the same verses and they mean the same except some of them are more modern day and there is nothing wrong with that if it helps the person understand it. There all 100 percent infallible word of God. Sure it can be why not? You do not get to decide what is infallible with God's word.

You keep saying "the actual Hebrew writing" as if it were the original. It isn't.

Also, you have no clue if it is properly translated.
