another waste of tax payer money to me, like it's not enough the Gov. waste all that money on KASPER and ODCP. How deep are our pockets, mine have holes in them dripping blood from the cost of drug screening for pain management. This has already been through the legal system, not the answer the Gov. wants so he elects to throw more tax payer money at it just to get his way.

Perhaps this bigoted DEMOCRATIC governor should read the U.S. Constitution, something he SWORE to uphold, particularly the "Full Faith and Credit" clause of the U.S. Constitution. It contains NO exceptions.

If you people would just ignore the gay community instead of making such a fuss about it this wouldn't be an issue. It's not a lifestyle I would choose, or even admit I understand, but I can't see why you people stay up nights worrying about. It's their life, why do you care?

If you want to really see Jack Conway cry, deduct from his pay what the state will spend to do his job to defend the marriage act. Go Steve.

The Defence of Marriage act was ruled unconstitutional and is discrimination no matter how you look at it.. Simple as that, why do Christians pick and choose what they preach about. Follow the hole bible if you believe so hard in it. No shellfish, hit your wife, own slaves.. The good old days!

Good post but don't forget about not wearing garments of mixed fabrics; it's an abomination. Or how about Deuteronomy 21-22.... Women who weren't virgins before marriage were stoned to death.
So called Christians like to thump their bible so long as what they are preaching has nothing to do with their lives. Why do they excessively preach about homosexuality and rarely mention many things considered sin on the bible?
Jesus didn't utter one word about homosexuality.

Gov. Beshear seems to have a problem with the law and how this is being handled. According to one of his latest laws KASPER.. If you have problems with the law this could be a sign of prescription drug addiction. Is Gov. Beshear addicted? Seems possible according to KASPER and would like that investigated through KASPER, that poorly written law that Gov. Beshear already allowed all that tax payer money to be thrown at.

I for one am thankful to our Governor for using our taxes to spread some decency and good throughout the state!
This is just the first step toward a glorious final solution to the gay problem through getting rid of them one way or another.
He has a request already ready for submission to use the NSA's database of personal details of every homosexual living in Kentucky!
We know where they work, eat, and sleep. We know the location of each and every one of them.
All we have to do is round them up.

It doesn't appear to be your state, however.

Hey racist pedo, that poster clearly specified "so called Christians" and "evangelicals."

Why are you so damn stupid? Was it from the womb on? Or did some damage happen along the way?

I don't know why he doesn't throw some tax payer money at researching a Gov. for KY to move us forward, out of the coal mines, into good paying, safe jobs, enhance the KY economic growth, and quit allowing law enforcement to run off with thousands. A Gov. who will get his nose out of our bedrooms and urine samples and put it to the grindstone to make KY a better place.

It's part of the agenda, don't take it personally. The 3 major religions all have the same view, but gay rights people have to focus on Christianity for now so they don't mention the others which are more extreme and bigoted. True gay rights activists actually focus on the world wide issue where gay people are killed by governments for being gay.

There just don't seem to be any true activists on topix

Hey liar, it's actually the US fundies giving money and tactical advice to homophobic governments in Africa, and now breaking bread with Putin's homophobic pogroms.

The mullahs in all three Abrahamic religions are just as sick as the others on all these social issues, but in the US it's the fundies who are the threat.

And there is a worldwide movement for lgbt rights which deals with muslims and ultra orthodox jews in the relevant countries.
