We agree! Why else would a man want to be with a man?
There is something wrong somewhere.

Not one study backing up whether you are "Born" with such a predisposition, at all! Over half this nation is ignorant. Just look at who they voted for in the last election. More war, more debt, more Israel, less jobs, more taxes, open border policy, failed health plan, and a boatload of other mistakes.

That somewhere would be Tyngsboro and Cummington, Massachusetts, where homophobic idiots who claim to be straight spend all their time in gay forums. One even has an imaginary wife. She can't stand him either.

You were literally unable (and unwilling, of course,) to understand the poll's finding or my reply.

There's nothing like 58% who think variations in sexual orientation are a problem or are disgusting or whatever.

There are apparently 58% who don't think or are unsure that sexual orientation has a biological basis. Of course, my phrasing is more nuanced than the biased query, "Are gay people born that way?" The poll's actual wording (as presented in the headline) ignores bisexuals and is heterosexist....

But this reply takes you comment seriously when in fact you're just a mentally ill bigot not making any sense.

Are you afraid of statistics? I'll be more than glad to provide you with them. Oh, and I can't stand ANY news source in America. Who controls them? Try to question Israel on air and see where your career goes then. I fear Israel far more than I do Iran.

You just don't get enough online gay-bashing, do you?

Why do you want to be with a woman? Do you flip a coin every morning?

Or does your body tell you who you will be attracted to? Isn't that the OBVIOUS answer?

Do you REALLY have to characterize people as "stupid" just because they're different from you? Is that the only way you can reconcile diversity? Do you think men are attracted to other men just to irritate you? Do we do it on purpose?

I know that you don't want to risk expanding your understanding of the world, but does that ALSO mean that you have to slander anything you don't understand?

None of that matters as long as homosexuals are happy and are being given whatever they demand.

Welcome to the new US of GAY! How you like it?

Because she is the mother of my children. I would do anything for her.
Why do you want to be with a same sex partner? It's not because you can create a family.

Do you really have to twist the question so badly? Can't you answer it accurately and honestly, clearly addressing the OBVIOUS topic? Do I have to be THAT careful with my semantics, to prevent you from finding any goofy loopholes?

Here is the same question rephrased, if that's what you require.

Why are you sexually attracted to females? Why were you attracted to them BEFORE you met your current spouse?

Unless, of course, you WEREN'T attracted to women until AFTER you had children with your current spouse. Then, your disingenuous answer would make perfect sense.
Wondering wrote:

Do you really think that people PICK who they will be attracted to, JUST so they can create a family? Or for ANY reason?

The gender of the partner you are attracted to has nothing to do with "want". People aren't attracted to the gender that they "want" to be attracted to. They don't "choose" this. They don't sit down and weigh the pros and cons of males over females.

Their bodies simply TELL them who they will be attracted to. YOUR body does this to YOU. You don't have any conscious input on what makes your body feel attraction. Do you think that gay people can make physiological choices which straight people cannot?

Sexual attraction simply DOES NOT WORK THIS WAY. It's hard to believe that you are SO clueless that you would think it does.

Yes, you did, by asking for another reason why a man would be attracted to another man (your post #2 here).
Wondering wrote:

We're ALL normal, healthy, all-American boys (and girls). Some gay people are even from other countries. But that doesn't explain anything.

If you want to understand why a man would want another man, you have to first understand why YOU want a woman. You can't just say "I'm normal and you're different". That's no answer. It sounds more like a commercial jingle.

What kind of reasoning process would that serve? If I wanted to know why my partner gets migraines but I don't, can I just say it's because I'm a normal, healthy, all-American boy? That's a CRAP answer.

Whether "normal" or not (whatever that word truly means), you are attracted to women because that's who your physiology DIRECTS you to be attracted to. Gay people are no different from you. There is no choice. There is no room for "want". My body tells me how it's gonna be, just like YOUR body tells YOU.

After that, it's up to me if I want to be a celibate and lonely bachelor (just to make people like you more comfortable), or if I want to find someone who suits me, makes me happy, and fulfills everything I need fulfilled (and do so unabashedly).

But again, if this process seems completely alien to you, if you're able to relate this human need for yourself but not for others, then the likelihood is that you will NEVER understand it. Ask all the people you want, but if you refuse to see gay people as equally human as you, then you are always going to wonder why we pursue human needs.

So ... that means you chose to be straight? At some point on your life you said to yourself, "Hmmmm ... I could be gay or straight ... I think I'll go with straight."
If you actually did this, then you are a freak of nature.
That also means that at one point in your life, you had homosexual tendencies but were able to suppress them. What an emotional and intellectual giant you are. Congratulations.

I don't doubt it. Americans are so gullible they'll believe any BS the liberal media feeds them. And I can't think of any bigger BS than the born gay BS.

You can't reason with people like that. It wastes your time and energy and it annoys the idiot you're addressing.

Look at the percentage of the world's citizens who believed the world is flat. Their "belief" didn't make it so. The 58% who believe we were made gay or chose to be so won't make that so either. Several studies have already pointed to the born gay idea, something Summer above won't like. Of course, since everything else in his moronic rant is not true, I'm guessing he doesn't have a comfortable relationship with Facts.
