While the flood waters along area rivers are receeding, it's not quite time to mount a full-scale clean-up. The Mississippi River remains out of its banks at both Grafton and Alton, and until it falls a little more, officials are hesitant to begin mopping up.

We hope to visit the area soon to stay at the Pere Marquette Campground, ride the bike trail and enjoy the area food. Will we be able to do that in a couple of weeks?

River keeps going down and then coming back up when it rains again. I think Spring will be a washout,
