Its sad that this man was the one supposed to be murdered that day. The hit was on him and the other 2 decided not to kill Mr. Linkous and killed the other man instead. Mr. Linkous took no part at all in the killing. Due to being a witness, he was forced to start the fire and in panic and fear of his life, since one of the others had the gun that Felipe pulled on them. He is now charged with a murder he witnessed. And will likely spend his life in prison. Feel sorry for his family and him as well. The other two even stated in recorded interviews that Mr. Linkous had no involvement and did nothing at all other than start the truck fire. But those interviews will not be allowed in court due to suppression of evidence. Because the other 2 have upcoming trials and if the testify anything they say can be used against them. So their original statements, which prove Mr. Linkous innocent of murder are not allowed in court due to prosecution not being able to cross examine. Did he break the law? Yes he did. He tampered with evidence and started a fire, I would have don't the same thing myself, to save my own life. He had every reason to be in fear after what he had just witnessed.

God does know what happened that day. God also knows what corruption and lies took part during that jury trial. God will judge Jimmy and God will also judge EVERYONE ELSE one day. It's not ok to lie and twist the facts and threaten the witness. To the jury: don't u wonder why u were sent for a break and then returned to find that his witness was gone??????

Family of Linkous. My heart aches for what you've gone thru. I wanted to offer you support and a shoulder but didn't know how. I know first hand about the lies the corruption and the unethical work of the Prosecution. I have your address I am sending you a card and a way you can reach me if you need or want too. You should avoid this site as much as you can because it is filled with hate and ignorance. People including jurors make their mind up Before they hear the case. After all if the sheriff or Prosecutor says he did it then he did. Right? Well that is the mindset and most don't even realize how bias they are. Email me if you want [email protected]

Although this man was convicted, he was convicted without the murder weapon beng present at the trial which could be grounds for an appeal. It has come to light that the Sheriff Department, has LOST the murder weapon and does not know what happened to it. Do not know which detective is responsible for losng the weapon and did not sit through the trial but all of the lawyers in this town is talking about the weapon being lost. Shows you how bad it is getting at the sheriff department.

Jimmy didn't kill the man and he was forced at gunpoint to set the fire. This prosecution was corrupt, the murder weapons were lost, and the jury was seen travelling together after being told by the judge they were to do no such thing.

God has a plan for jimmy. I dont understand that plan today... Jimmy was guilty of setting that truck on fire and tampering with evidence. He had absolutely nothing to do with the murder. That man pulled a gun and was gonna kill them all! In the end the prosecutor said, even know the gun was lost as well... They probably robbed him and stole his gun, never once was there mention of a robbery until in closing remarks when the prosecutor made it up. The whole theory by prosecution was made up and facts from the witness stand were ignored. Sad and heartbroken at how corrupt the system is. Word of advise for people who are innocent and try to prove that to a jury, sorry to say chances are slim due to lies and corruption by prosecution. People who know jimmy, know he has a heart of gold and is completely non violent.

Losing the murder weapons, REALLY? Then threatening the witness, yep sure sounds like Scioto County has it all taken care of. But I do feel for those that were involved that day. They killed a man to save their own lives, YOU would do the same. PERIOD!

Why didnt the PDT report about the MISSING weapons? Suppose that the Sheriff's department or good ole boy "Marty" doesn't want the voters to know??? Everyone needs to know. Wonder if there isn't a "reason" they needed to be "lost".

The whole trial was based on lies and false accusations. The prosecutor can say anything they want. The jury believes what they say. They don't want people to know the truth, they just want a conviction. They surely don't want people to know that they LOST evidence.

The gun was not lost. Lopez's wife testified he carried it all the time. The knife, hatchet, and Thomas's coat all disappeared. And the witness was told she could go to jail if she testified. Jimmy was made out to be a monster by the prosecution, and I'm sure the others will too. "their"experts say Lopez was still alive when he burnt. B.S.

Abd according to some law.. Don't recall the name. Jimmy was entitled to his own expert opinion. He was denied that. He did not stand a chance! Prosecution is corrupt and made up so many lies. The jury did not see where they threatened his witness. The jury did not see the confrontation between a family member and the lead detective. The detective sat right down without another word after the family member said you just lied up there and you know it!! Lies, lies, and lies. At the preliminary, under oath, might I add, the detective said jimmy was holding on for dear life in the back of the truck and never participated in the assault!! So for all you who don't know the truth, go read that transcript yourself. See how stories change once the prosecutor tells you what to say. Very unfair. I know one thing.... God is bigger than all those people who lie and manipulate at the courthouse. God has a plan for jimmy.
