im just wondering how many of the people on here that are so opinionated on here were witnesses to what happened? because it sounds like both sides are speaking from second or third hand info so to me thats hear say. and i love how many people are so proud to say that if they were in this situation they would have taken another humans life and they dont even know what really happened. we all should be ashamed. i dont know how we can get on line and have so little value in human life to brag that we would shoot someone in a situation that we know very little about. get all the facts and never be so quick to judge either side. there are two sides to every story.
There was only three witnesses and im glad someone is finally on here making since. The ashland APD only got one statement so the facts arent all out yet but they will be then i cant wait to see what all people have to say.I think people need to stop talking about something they have no clue about. It isnt helping either person involved.

Good question. I to would like to know what brand and style. I carry a case copperlock mostly sometime I'll carry a good German made knife. If someone stabed me with a cheap made in china knife I would be mad as hell.

,Your reasoning is flawed. if you are in a fight for survival you will use any tool at your disposal. This could be a knife, gun, rpg, etc. To not do so may mean your death. You make the call.

You are so right. And he was on his own property. So Mr. Steele needs to be in jail.

Pat should have just kept his head on and not got into a fight that he could of avoided. But on the other hand the other dude may have overreacted by stabbing him. I like Pat but he has about as much muscle on him as a 12 year old girl, he couldn't of looked that threatening. Im glad nobody is dead. Maybe Pat will learn to quit getting in fights now that he is 0 and 2 just since he retired.
Do you know how big the other guy is? Not any more than 130. He has a heart transplant and had to protect himself. I agree Pat just didn't think. It is a shame this had to happen but he had no business on another persons property in a threatening way. I would do that or worse if someone came on my property wouldn't you. It just went bad. Sad too because neither one of them are bums. Goes to show you what a bad temper can do. Never follow someone home after road rage.I have been mad enough to just slap someone that did something stupid while driving but than God I got past it.

It's amazing what a leather motorcycle jacket does to someone, it makes em 10 feet tall and bullet proof or in Pats case knife proof.

There are two sides to every story. I don't believe either was totally innocent. Where the problem come in is when Pat followed the other guy and fought with him on his own property. A lot of people have a concelaed weapons liscense so he is lucky that the other guy didn't have one or chose not to use it. If you are going to beat someone down don't do it on their property. I don't think for one minute that any of you wouldn't have done the same if you were attacked on the property your bought, you pay taxes on and you worked hard to have. If anyone disagrees with this you are an idiot and liar. No one would take that kind of shit from anyone if they are not crazy. Sorry that it ended this way with Pat but he should have thought first. His witness well that's another story if it is the person I think it is half of her family has or is in jail. So wow what a good witness,

Well you notice there hasn't been anything else in the newspaper about this incident. Does that mean since Pat is a retired Ashland Fire Capt. that they are keeping it quite? The next thing we see in the newspaper concerning this this should be "retired Fire Capt. arrested for being stupid"
