The Florida Republican says in a speech Wednesday that money from the federal government to address poverty should be shifted to the states and Congress should reform the tax code to give people in low-wage jobs an incentive to stay in the workforce and not collect unemployment insurance.

That's it?

Almost as good as "Reaganomics".

MAYBE a 20 year old today might have his grandchildren see/feel a "trickle".

Because they never will.

30+ years of failure.

All is not lost though, we are just ONE more corporate tax break/incentive from "prosperity".

I PROMISE.

Well, the liberal war on poverty over the past 50 years has done nothing but cost taxpayers $15 trillion and is a dismal failure. Today, we have more people living in poverty than ever before.

Why? Because liberal redistribution of wealth policies are utter failures. Socialism never works and has failed everywhere and every time it has ever been implemented.

We can't stealing from future generations in order to keep giving people a fish when they are hungry. We need to teach them how to fish so they can take care of themselves.

In our terms, that means maintaining an economic environment where people can find jobs and thus be able to earn an income so they can provide for themselves and their families.

Conservative economic principles always work. It means government getting the hell out of the way, stop picking winners and losers in the market place, stop imposing the world's highest corporate income tax, stop imposing the world's most costly and burdensome regulations, and stop paying people not to work.

That's a proven formula for success that has worked everywhere and every time that it has ever been implemented.

It's no big surprise that the amount we have added to the national debt over the last 50 years is exactly the same amount that we've wasted on the failed war on poverty.

Running the country from a ranch in Crawford, TX is hardly vacation dipshit. He sure as hell wasn't on the golf course every day, nor wasting billions of taxpayer dollars taking luxury vacations in Hawaii, Spain, Africa, etc.

Since Obama was sworn into office 5 years ago, they have taken 14 luxury vacations at taxpayers expense, costing over a BILLION dollars!

The way the Obamas live like royalty off the backs of the working people of this country is shameful. And you dumbfucks continue to think he really cares about the working class.

A tax cut and a rebate would be a good start by the progressive party that constantly spouts it cares for the working stiffs. Only the agendas count for them.

It would not have been so bad if you idiots have the ability to pinpoint where the trouble comes from, yes idiots you made the rich spoiled you are too quick in contributing to their fat wallets. I won't say how you're too stupid to accept the fact.

Watch Fox much???

Those statements are inane.

Are you really suggesting that it is the liberals who refuse to help the poor in any way, so they can steal their money and give it to the rich? Well, I suppose there are a great many democrats who go along with the republicans to do just that, but it is the conservative ideal; in direct opposition to the liberal mentality.

While the conservatives talk about the need to teach the poor how to fish, they then give the lake to some rich guy, who won't let anyone in to fish. The GOP is adamant about destroying as many jobs as possible. They have done everything possible to flood the labor pool for at least 30 years to reduce wages and push more people into poverty.

We can't steal from future generations?? Then stop shipping billions of dollars on pallets to thieves overseas. However, it is necessary to invest in our future. Instead of the conservative mantra of destroy, destroy, destroy, how about rebuilding the infrastructure the GOP has so effectively dismantled?

Conservative principals never work. If they did, you could provide one example, but you can't. There are no examples. Claiming that some rich guy successfully stole billions from the middle class doesn't make the conservative principal successful. It just means most who proclaim conservative principals are simply crooks justifying their thievery.

Why not turn off the propaganda machine and look around? Talk with your neighbors, your family, your friends if you have any. Find out what those conservative principals have done to destroy our nation. Find out how many Americans have dropped out of the US economy. Find out how people survive without any opportunity to earn a decent living.

LOL. bush??? running the country???? How much "running" did he do with an axe in his hand? He was lucky he didn't axe himself. How much "running did bush do when he passed out from eating a vodka soaked pretzel? How much running did bush do, when he tried to give a speech, and he was so drunk, all his words were slurred, and his eyes were dilated even in the harsh camera lights? No wonder he couldn't read the teleprompter.

bush couldn't for a coherent sentence and you think he was running the country? Well that does explain why we are still in such horrible shape. The bad part is Obama continued way too many of bush's asinine policies. Had Obama been willing to reject most of the bush policies we would be in much better shape.

Obama is the king of dumping massive numbers of people into poverty. The increase in the number of people living in poverty during Obama's tenure is nothing short of staggering.

Actually no. Don't watch too much TV. But I do pay attention to the facts.
Those statements are inane.
No, we call them facts my friend. We've spent $15 trillion over 50 years fighting the war on poverty. Today, we have more Americans living in poverty than ever before, and our national debt is $15 trillion higher than at the beginning of the war.

Poverty has absolutely kicked the liberal policy of redistribution of wealth square in the ass. Calling it a massacre is an understatement. Socialism is a failed economic model. It has always failed, and it always will.
Are you really suggesting that it is the liberals who refuse to help the poor in any way, so they can steal their money and give it to the rich?
Say what? Go back and read what I wrote. I never even inferred such a thing.
While the conservatives talk about the need to teach the poor how to fish, they then give the lake to some rich guy, who won't let anyone in to fish.
Uh, no. The conservative approach is to leave the lake in the hands of its owner, not steal it from him and give it to those whom government deems is more deserving of having it.
The GOP is adamant about destroying as many jobs as possible.
Not at all. Conservatives fight hard to support an economic environment that is attractive to business and conducive to expanding existing businesses and investment in new ones. It's the liberal approach that has brought us the highest corporate income tax in the world, the most costly and onerous regulations, and piled upon business the cost for a myriad of socialist programs. Altogether, the implementation of those liberal polices have driven away our manufacturing jobs. Businesses have the choice of moving out of the country or filing for bankruptcy.

Business goes where it is welcome, and liberalism has made America the most unfriendly business environment on the entire planet. It's no surprise that we're very rapidly losing our economic base. Our military power will fall just as quickly.
We can't steal from future generations??
Well we can, but it's unconscionable and immoral. But tell me Sherlock, which party always fights for greater spending and greater increase in the debt, and which party fights for spending cuts and a balanced budget?
Conservative principals never work. If they did, you could provide one example, but you can't.
I can give you many examples. What happened when JFK cut tax rates in the 1960s? The economy grew and government revenues increased. What happened when Reagan cut taxes in the 1980s? The economy grew and government revenues increased. What happened when Bush cut taxes in the 2000s? The economy grew and government revenues increased.

Deal with facts and not liberal idiocy. Being an idiot liberal fuctard is a choice you've made. You can just as easily decide to stand on facts and reality. It's your choice.

Yep. He did a swell job too, even though he couldn't prevent the economic collapse after the Democrats gained control of both houses of Congress and implemented the socialist policies that caused the housing market collapse. He warned them, but Chris Dodd and Barney Frank didn't care. They were too busy lining their pockets.

The fact is that every day that goes by with Obama in office brings an increase in Bush's approval ratings. What does that tell you? LOL

<quoted text>92 million unemployed, the WORST EVER, and that has nothing to do with the congress. That has everything to do with the REAL teabagger who resides in the White House and whose Kensian economic policies have failed time and time again. Poor progressive shill, but what should we expect from a pure Marxist? One more thing for you to bounce off those damaged brain cells of yours. Why does Wall Street keep making so much money these days? And does Ben Bernake and the Fed have anything to do with that? Just asking, because old Benny is quite tight with your Kenyan campaigner.
No the worst ever, since the great depression was Reagan when unemployment peaked at 10.8% in Dec. 1982 due to "Reaganomics".

The policy worse than the man it was named after.

92 million?

Straight from Limbaughtomy.
