The Pittsfield Fire Department is investigating what may have caused the fire Monday morning that damaged the city's highway department headquarters at 232 W. Housatonic St.

Perhaps it was an act of god, who knows. But thankfully no one was inside at the time and as the mayor says, you can always replace a building. And if I remember correctly that was the plan, wasn't it?

When you have wayward negligent cigarettes. But thankfully no one was inside at the time, and as the mayor's says, you can always replace a building. And isn't that what really counts?
