Man, you are just hitting ALL the cliches aren't you.

Here are your next 3 cliches to hit:

Hitler believed in evolution.
Why are there still monkeys?
Newton didn't believe in evolution.

Go look up the definition of "scientific theory". Then come back and apologize for asking such a stupid question.

See, Doughboy, what you "Christians" have never learned is that we aren't your sheep, we won't let you lie and get away with it.
The fact that you continue to make false claims in the FACE of evidence to the opposite makes me SERIOUSLY doubt that you are familiar with the 10 commandments, let alone the rest of the Bible.
<quoted text>
Well, seeing as it IS a fact, there's no outrage.
Gene frequencies change over time. FACT. There are literally thousands of great examples.
Skin color, lactose tolerance, malaria immunity, blonde hair, blue eyes... all just from HUMAN examples.
If you have evidence that gene frequencies never change (in other words, you are an exact genetic clone of your mother who is an exact genetic clone of her mother, etc) then present that evidence.
<quoted text>
So, your complaint is that it's not fair that ONLY the theory with the evidence be taught.
Why restrict this to evolution? Why aren't you pushing for the teaching of alternative theories for gravity, germs, atomic energy, etc.?
<quoted text>
HAHA, not if you are trying to keep a straight face.
Explain to me 3 ways that the "designer" differs from "God".
<quoted text>
Fortunately, it's not up to you. You don't have a solid concept of evolution, science or faith. So, asking you to determine values for those three subjects is a lot like asking my dog which cell phone plan I should buy.
"Faith" is what you use when there is NO evidence.
Science requires exactly ONE article of faith and that is this: "Reality is real".
That's it.
You missed one thing - you forgot to ask me if I own any guns!

The point is that Wayne claims evolution couldn't have happened because it's not mentioned in the Bible.

Neither are airplanes.

As for, could any of this have happened without the input of a made up character like God or Harry Potter? yes. Obviously. Since it all did happen.

doughboy, quit trying to bring up this "theory" strawman... it's ludicrous. Look it up for crying out loud. And I suspect you know the answer anyway - it's just one of those things you guys love to bring up because you have little else to bring to the table. You guys desperately need new material - stuff that hasn't been debunked a million times before. Your lame creo debating points, pulled from the same lame creo websites, are no more clever or valid the thousandth time than they were the first time.
Help me get this right Matt-You believe in God and in Jesus but you don't believe God's word? Maybe I should heed your buddy Wayne warning on you.

No Nuggy, you are Gods sheep. Or better stated, the goats. You have proved nothing. And this topic is cross posted so it IS on the Christian forum also. I would think somebody with your highly evolved brain would know that but I guess not.

You believe in your version of god because - you believe in your version of god. Other folks believe in a different version of your god. Other folks believe in different god(s). Your beliefs are largely a construct of how, when, and where you were born and raised. If you had been born and raised in Tehran, Baghdad, etc. odds are you would be proclaiming "there is no god but god" and screaming "death to the great satan" while dreaming of flying planes into buildings. Had you been born in deepest Africa or South America, your god(s) would be much much different, yet you would be proclaiming them to be real. Had you been born in 10th century Rome, the way you practice your faith would be much different.

You appear to be one of those christians who possess a super duper double top secret magic decoder ring that lets you decide who is and who isn't a "real" christian. There are many christians like you. Unfortunately, you all have your super duper double top secret magic decoder rings on different settings.

Wayne is far from being my "buddy". He is a vile and evil person - the worst sort of fundamentalist. Not exactly like him? He condemns you to hell... with a big smile on his face. Yeah, a truly outstanding example of a loving Christian, that Wayne... vomit.

doughboy, I consider reason and intellect a gift from God that has enabled us to better understand His wonderful creation. We call the use of that reason and intellect science. There is nothing wrong with trying to learn about the universe, or the life that inhabits it. I fully believe in the moral and spiritual teachings of the Bible, and know in my heart they are inspired by God. That's called faith. However, through many centuries, we have learned that the universe and its creation did not happen exactly as stated in the Bible. I know that you fundamentalists believe that every word of the Bible was divinely inspired by God, and therefore inerrant. That's why you feel so threatened when science comes along and reports on observations that speak of the so-called "Big Bang", or disproves the Noachian Flood, or evolution. The fact of the matter is, doughboy, that science in no way detracts from the moral and spiritual truths that God put forth in the Bible. Science is no threat to God... it's just a threat to the fundamentalist belief that God inspired the framework of myths, legends and allegories that MEN wrote to put these truths in a context understandable by anyone. The Bible may be inspired by God but was written by men. You fundamentalists cannot bear that, and that is the whole crux of the evo/creo debate - the inability for the fundamentalists to acknowledge what everyone else realizes as common sense. Christians who accept science AND their faith are no less Christian than fundamentalists, and vice-versa - John 3:16 proves that. That verse puts no preconditions upon salvation - just that you believe.

Homosexuals and atheists are not "created"-they are a product of satan, the author of all lies. It appears he has you also.

False premise.

Your "if God had not created us then none of those things..." argument is no more valid than "If Thor had not created us..." or "if Zeus had not created us..." or "If Satan had not created us..."

And all of those are a whole lot less valid than the hard evidence we see all around us for evolution.

Finally, once again, YOU claim that evolution is impossible because it's not mentioned in the scriptures.

Neither are airplanes.

If you NOW claim that airplanes are possible because God could have allowed it, then you must ALSO concede that evolution is possible for the exact same reasons.

YOu are having a lot of trouble with consistency, Wayne. You should ask yourself why.

And look who just switched from stupid to psycho.

Doughboy, it's long been understood that the only people screaming and hollaring about homos are the ones who are helping themselves to the weiner buffet.

The rest of us (the straight people) honestly couldn't care less what gay people do to each other.

It's you closet types that get all worked up.

So now you're pretending to know which people and things on earth were created by god and which by satan. And coincidentally they just happen to line up with the people and things you like and the people and things you hate.

Isn't there something in your book that warns you against pretending to know the mind of god too well? It was definitely in there when I was a Christian.

Newsflash: People like you and Wayne use religion as a prop to support your own bigotry and pre-existing biases. And if there is a god, that pride and arrogance will be your undoing.

Thats great you are a Christian Matt, however not all people can live with both the ideas as you do. Regardless of what is being said about the subject God has been replaced by evolution in the classroom. I have seen this firsthand with some of my own relatives. I have asked some of my high school age relatives if they believe in God, and they replied "no-I believe in evolution". In a nutshell I think this issue will cause people to lose their own souls. The theory of evolution has been a great tool for satan.

Homosexuality and atheism are both sins, Zeke. This has nothing to do with me. You say you used to be a Christian? What are you now?
