We need more money to support our research, so for the time being we will throw out "facts" and data we make up to scare the populace into giving us money to live on. High on the hog too.

Correct. A change in the CO2 spectrum resulting from man made CO2 emissions.

A causality established by countless lab experiments.

It would be interesting to see how many of the "evironmentalist" who post on here have switched there own homes to alternative energy sources, wind, solar, etc. I bet if we could see their homes on google or bing maps, they would shut up.

In other words, you are a big mouth who rants about environment but does nothing about it. I get it. You rely on fossil fuels, you are one of those who cry about global warming, yet do nothing about it. I bet you dont spend a penny of your money one solar, wind, or other alternative energy. But demand others do. How very liberal of you.

I was not the one who posted the LYING post, that was YOU and it seems that when it was pointed out as being a LIE you went into pedantic raptures for some reason. This is of course typical of you type, you want freedom of speech on your terms, and such freedom is not freedom but dictatorship (if you can get away with it)

And of course you are guessing as was expected from a fool who has nothing. You have no fooking idea what I spend my money on. But you are unwilling to admit your own ignorance and so you compound your ignorance with more guessing.

Tell me, you would not happen to be christian by some chance? There are several
christian traits you employ in your posts. Supposition, lies, guesswork, pedanticism and incredulity.

FYI, my house in the UK supplies electricity to the national grid. My house in France will be fitted with two a solar arrays (photovoltaic and water) within the next 2 weeks. I realise that this sound coincidental but, I will be travelling to France tomorrow to supervise the work.

So you see your guesswork has shown you up to be nothing but a guess merchant and a liar.

The quote is 'correlation is not causation'. But that is immaterial since it is not 'correlation' but a clear cause and effect of the physics that was discussed in the 'lab bench physics' experiment.

You are bordering on total gibberish.

I bike as my main transportation. I use LED bulbs. It isn't fanatical but it is responsible. Unlike those who do NOTHING and then whine (i.e you). NOBODY says we have to return to the caves or that the wealthy have to give up their 'perks'. It is about reducing, recycling and reusing and some adapting (such as converting to green energy). Good things in their own for an economy that is losing the space for more garbage pits and where resources are getting costlier.

Gotcha, you love fossil fuels you depend on them, have no intention of using alternatives unless someone else pays for them because they cost too much. Another global warming moron I see. You are a true al gore sheep.

If we fear for the future, it is paradoxical to attempt to mitigate risks by remaining invested in fossil fuels. What we do now will bring about the future for better or worse. If weíre to emerge from our 19th century energy system, it must be us, now, today, who set that emergence in motion. Leave fossil fuels for those who prefer to look backwards.

The observation didn't discriminate between man made CO2 and CO2 from geological sources. Also, the lab experiments don't show whether our greenhouse gas emissions are significant to climate change.

Lie. Isotopic studies clearly show that the increase in CO2 levels is coming from old carbon (depleted in C14) and new oxygen (with current levels of O18). This can clearly distinguish geological sources from anthropogenic ones. And we have a very good record of what emissons we make per years. The increase in the atmosphere are less than we emit (showing some sequestration from higher PPM levels). The net flow of 'natural sources' is to the source.
Brian_G wrote:

Another barefaced lie. We know the forcing from GHGs is enough to raise temperatures about 1C so far. The difference between ice age climate and the 'interglacial', or between the climate of 3 million years ago (crocs and camels in the arctic, sea level 80 meters or more higher) is only 3C to 5C warmer or cooler so it shows that we are making a MAJOR change in climate. In fact, we have the levels of CO2 now that made the climate 3 million years ago so drastically different. It is just taking time for the planet to shift into the 'overheated swamp' mode.

Wrong and wrong.

We know the CO2 is man made.

http://www.realclimate.org/index.php/archives...

The change in the CO2 spectrum tells us how much extra heat the Earth is retaining- the equivalent energy of 4 Hiroshima atomic bomb detonations per second.

That is significant even on a planetary scale.
