Still no experimental test of climate change mitigation? Then it's still a hoax.

Obviously RiccardoFire is one of the 48% of right wingers that are too stupid to read the science, even when it is freely available to anyone with a brain.

But certainly Obama hasn't given enough money to support science. Partly that is due to Republican blockage of ANY finance measures, combined with the 'sequester' cuts in all programs, not just science that the Republicans are creating by their 'delay is the most dangerous form of denial' politicking.

I go by facts not hype and scare tactics. I'm sure it's another conspiracy that Obama can't do no wrong and he is being blocked to do anything. Like I said before, how did you get past Y2K?

Meanwhile in the Midwest: A ferocious storm dumped heavy snow across portions of the Rockies and northern Plains on Tuesday. Winter storm warnings were in effect from New Mexico to Wisconsin, and areas of Colorado and Utah were under blizzard warnings.

"One possible scenario may be found in a recent series of articles by Henrik Svensmark and Nigel Marsh, cosmic ray specialists from Denmark, who have shown an indirect connection between galactic cosmic ray (GCR) intensity and global temperature.7,8,9 They are studying the influence of the Sun on the flow of GCR to Earth. The Sun's changing sunspot activity influences the magnetosphere surrounding the Earth permitting more GCR to strike the Earth during high periods of activity.

When the Sun is active, the intensity of GCR striking the Earth is increased, causing more ionization in the atmosphere, creating more carbon-14, and possibly creating more cloud condensation nuclei (CCN). This increase in CCN, in turn, appears to create more low-level clouds which cool the Earth. When the Sun is quiet the GCR intensity striking the Earth is reduced, allowing the Earth to warm. Svensmark and Marsh have shown a striking statistical correlation between sunspot activity and global cooling and warming over the past 1000 years.

The recent rise in global temperature may partially be due to current low solar activity supplemented by a recent increase in carbon dioxide concentration measured at Mauna Loa. The connection which still needs further study is the production of CCN and clouds by GCR."

There is a good deal of science showing that global warming is not mad made. Yes, we still should have pollution controls, as we already do, but not to the extreme because it will unnecessarily hurt business.

Henrik Svensmark: research the man, he has no big Government ties, he is not on any oil or Government payroll. Stop believing in science dropouts like the Rev Gore.

"recent series of articles???? You are referencing some weak paper from 2003, which was rebutted in 2008 (showing only weak correlation and little statistical significance) and then totally demolished in 2012 with studies that showed that improvements in ENSO modelling completely resolved all remaining correlations between clouds and cosmic rays.

There still may be something in the cosmic rays but their influence has to be in the century to millenial range since the short term effects have not been validated.

Did you notice who did the rebuttal? Good old Uncle Sam...LOL...Good ol NASA. Gavin Schmidt, the same dude that explained the stolen emails. Gavin Schmidt, a GISS scientist who was running a third-party activist website promoting an ideological agenda on taxpayer time —I'm real surprised that this liar did the rebuttal. Are you the idiot that actually wrote there still maybe be something in the cosmic rays? LOL....Really...LOL...Do you think. Schmidt makes a good living from the fears of the Alarmist Society. What do you think he will say? Schmidt is not honest. Try again loser! Henrik Svensmark is a winner.

Yes. Employed, published and respected scientists all of which have more academic creditials that Svenskmark and no axe to grind since they are publicly funded by 'arms length' science funding organizations.

Svenskmark seems to be more of a 'biased observer' with one hair up his butt. Not that he isn't a scientist and the issue is of importance but his monomania has not been backed up by ANY other research.

Climate change is fact; climate change mitigation is the theory. Experiments are used to test theory; what's the best experiment you've found? The ones I've seen are very reassuring, it looks like the greenhouse temperature change from doubling CO2 in the atmosphere is far lower then the IPCC's most benign assumption.

Which is in a way, too bad. Because its so much fun to emit CO2, by going fast and far, turning up the heat and chugging some cold brews when you're home. I'm not a climate criminal or an experimenter; I'm just living.

I'll conserve when I die.

We all understand the establishment backs man made climate change and climate change mitigation. The details of mitigation is open to much debate. I'm for holding off entirely until experimental tests are published.

I understand your panic, they are forecasting doom. Fortunately, no experiment proves them right. The experimental reports of atmosphere sensitivity to CO2 are very low.

I wish I could double atmospheric CO2 and see,

Gavin Schmidt? LOL. They are funded by Alarmist like you. Yes let's say Henrik Svensmark a physicist and professor in the Division of Solar System Physics at the Danish National Space Institute in Copenhagen, has "a hair up his butt". Because he shows a different perspective and since global warming, I mean climate change caused by CO2 emissions can't be argued. LOL Let's just stick to what the Rev Gore says, he must know with his background...LOL.

More recently, Laken et al (2012)found that new high quality satellite data show that the El_Niño–Southern_Oscillation is responsible for most changes in cloud cover at the global and regional levels. They also found that Galactic Cosmic Rays, and total solar irradiance did not have any statistically-significant influence on changes in cloud cover whatsoever.

journals.ametsoc.org/doi/pdf/10.1175/JCLI-D-1...

Lockwood (2012)conducted a thorough review of the scientific literature on the "solar influence" on climate. It was found that when this influence is included appropriately into climate models causal climate change claims such as those made by Svensmark are shown to have been exaggerated. Lockwood's review also highlighted the strength of evidence in favor of the solar influence on regional climates.

"have been exaggerated." That seems to sum it up. That's why most of us don't believe the Alarmists. What's funny is now they are using that term. Come out of your bunker, maybe Climate change is causing it to go deeper down there in Florida.

If emissions were changing the climate, then the first place you should be protesting and crapping on police cars is in CHINA. Have a safe trip.
