<quoted text>My take on this is that God became man, He assumed a human nature, to answer for that nature's sin. Jesus was without sin, a perfect man, he had the human nature of thirst, pain, suffering, laughter, sorrow. Jesus was the word made flesh.
And, if God can do that, He most certainly can use evolution as He sees fit, you see, I believe nothing is impossible with God.
You are EXACTLY right! We are also made in the image of God. Although we have corrupted that image through the ages. Why would He use evolution, to take billions of years, to evolve into His image?

Wayne, you will have to ask God that, I am sure He knows.

Are you trying to say that we look like God? Our spirit came from God, Wayne. What do you think God looks like? You?

Good. And according to your belief in evolution, was Jesus an animal?
No. He was myth. Never existed for real, most likely.

But, if he DID exist, he was just another human man.

Not unlike Moses, Ghandi or Martin Luther King.

Why not?

Why do you NEED a magic show, 7-day creation?

And while we're on THAT subject-- WHY 7 DAYS?

WHY NOT CREATE THE UNIVERSE IN AN INSTANT?

Hmmm.

(and WHY did an INFINITE god require REST on day 7? Migraine?)

Hmmm. Sounds like you did it for selfish motives. You never were a Christian, were you Bob? I do those things because the love of God is in them. Somethng foreign to your mind, right? Hypocrite!
As I said-- duty.

A concept CLEARLY LOST on your bigoted little mental views.

You claim to have the "love of god"????

You-- who spew for the most vile and hate-filled words on these threads?

You claim to do things out of LOVE?????

Where IS this "love" you claim to have???

It is NOT EVIDENT, IS IT!

You are a truly pathetic case, Waynie.

Truly pathetic.

So, you would have no problem calling Christ no more than an animal? I wonder what any other Christian would say about that? Ok, you're opinion.
As I said Wayne, since Christ is both God and man, I just don't know! Do you ever listen?

OPEN YOUR EYES!! He was using RELIGION, no matter what kind, as a shield to hide his belief in EVOLUTION!! HE called the Jews, and any other race than the Aryan race, a LOWER life form! My God, what will it take to make you understand?? The Nazis thought they were hurrying nature, aka, EVOLUTION, along. Hitler could have cared less for Christianity or any other kind of religion. C'mon Matt, you can't be THAT dense!!
"Adolph Hitler twisted the theories of Gustaf Kossinna (1858-1931), to put forward the Aryans as a master race of Indo-Europeans, who were supposed to be Nordic in appearance and directly ancestral to the Germans." (http://archaeology.about.com/ od/indusrivercivilizations/a/a ryans.htm)

Some [have] misapplied the biological principles of natural selection -- "survival of the fittest" -- to the social, political, and economic realms. The idea of "social Darwinism" originated with Herbert Spencer. Drawing on social Darwinism, supporters of the 20th-century eugenics movement sought to "improve" human genetic stock, much as farmers do in agriculture.(http://www.pbs.or g/wgbh/evolution/darwin/nameof /index.html)

Quiten down you hypocrite. You don't believe in God anyway so why give yourself an aneurysm? Sometime people like you need what they call tough love. I tell you the facts and you hate me for it. I love ya Bob, or else I wouldn't pick on you!

He took the form of the Man Jesus didn't He? He is invisible BUT can take human form whenever it warrants. Never is it said He took an animals form.

Of course I listen Matt. I also said HE was fully human, only without sin. Don't YOU ever listen? Was that an animal that died on the cross for us Matt? I don't think so and find it repulsive to even think of it.

I don't have to ask God about that little thing. He explained it very well in the first chapter of Genesis.

I never SAID that I did NOT believe in god--- exclusively.

I said that I DO believe and I DO NOT believe-- AT THE SAME TIME.

I have embraced the basic nature of being human; I have embraced my doubts AND beliefs as a whole.

I know this is a concept you cannot possibly fathom, sadly, but I post it for the benefit of anyone else reading it.

You lie, again.

Only THIS time, it's WORSE!

You lie TO YOURSELF!

You truly do not comprehend what love IS, Wayne.

Most of all-- you don't understand the REAL meaning of the 2nd commandment that Jesus admonished people to follow:

"Love your neighbor as you would love yourself"

Go and get some REALLY GOOD commentaries on that verse, and study-up on it.

You are in serious need of it.

Your hate is the _ONLY_ thing you spew forth consistently.

But, he can take the form if a flaming shrubbery? And a fire-tornado?

And, apparently, can take the form of a white bird (dove)?

Isn't a dove an animal....????

There is a difference in symbology and fact. He spoke OUT of the burning bush, not WAS the burning bush, and so on. The SYMBOLOGY of the dove is peace. It came to reason on the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ.
