I think the producers really shot themselves in the foot when they wouldn't let PZ Myers in to view a preview. And then they lied about why they wouldn't let him in.
The people associated with this film just can't seem to stop lying. First they obtained the interviews under false pretenses. Then they quote mine the interviews for the film. Then they use all sorts of propaganda techniques to distort what is being said. And on-and-on. Disgusting.
I read PZ's account on his Pharyngula blog. The whole scene he described was a comedy gold mine. Pure slapstick buffoonery on the part of the movie's producers.

The movie will be out soon enough. There will be PLENTY of time for feedback after that. The producers just don't want it sabotaged before it has a chance to be seen by the public, that's all.
If the movie contains truth, then it can't be "sabotaged". The ID moonbats just didn't want an expose of the film's mistruths before it could be unleashed upon the public. Too bad for them... the Net is buzzing about the bullshit in the movie and the Keystone Kops antics of the producer regarding the PZ/Dawkins incident.

And "sabotaged" is the wrong word, btw. Picking apart the logical fallacies and quote-mining of the film is not "sabotage". You know what was sabotaged in that movie? PZ and Dawkins' interviews were quote mined in that movie. THAT'S sabotage.

It's funny... creos and ID'ers always like to call proponents of evolution Nazis, who are spoon fed propaganda and quash all dissent. Sounds EXACTLY like what the ID'ers are doing with this pseudoscientific ID propaganda flick.

What a joke this whole creationism/ID bullshit is... if there's so much truth to it, why the lies? Why the deceptions? Fundies are a laugh riot.

What are you liars for satan so scared of? Probably hasn't been this much hooplah over a movie sine Mel Gibsons "Passion of The Christ" came out and rattled the Jews cage. If there's nothing to it then why is Dawkins so ruffled? Afraid his "God Delusion" will be shown for the trash it is?

I think you are getting Christians mixed up with catholics. That happens a lot. Besides, why should we burn anyone at the stake? There are plenty that are making their way to the lake of fire by themselves. BIIIIIG bonfire!
So according to you, there were NO Christians until Martin Luther LOL

Boy, Jesus must be pissed that people wasted 1500 years.

Boy, didn't take Wayne long to go through his entire process. He's already up to the Catholics aren't Christians and anyone who disagrees with me worships "Satan" (a Christian God).

''The public can "decide" that the Sun goes around the Earth'',did you or did you not say that in another comment thus putting the public on equal footing with GOD,which is wrong and so far from the truth its not even funny, again i repeat only GOD gets to decide whether the sun can go around the earth not the people of planet earth.apparently that is something you cant comprehend.man cannot and never will be GOD, although a few try to play like they are him, in that manner they are only fooling themselves.

You fundamentalist jackasses are all the same. Don't you realize the posts are STILL here for everyone to see? don't you realize that your quotemining BS doesn't fly when people can see your source material?

Or is it that you JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO READ?

Here the ACTUAL QUOTE:
"The public can "decide" that the Sun goes around the Earth, didn't make it true when they wrote the Bible. Doesn't make it true now. Won't make it true in the future."

And YOU get the EXACT OPPOSITE meaning.

I'd be astonished, but I've met so many of you fundamentalists - it's really no surprise.

What a bunch of losers.

The creationists are the biggest liars ever. Anyone could go to the screening, you could book it on the internet. PZ Myers was turned away shame on those liars, who even lied what they were filming when interview various rational people.

and you missed my point entirely, the public has NO SAY in where the sun can and cannot go,as for me i believe the earth revolves around the sun not the opposite, take it as you wish.obliviously you are an atheist arguing a mute point like this.im done arguing this silly point we are not getting anywhere, and neither one will change the others mind.

It's not about changing minds, it's about your 3rd grade level reading comprehension skills.

I've now had to post the information 2x, and you STILL don't get it.

Here, let me make this very simple for you:
Fundamentalists (YOU) are arguing that Creationism is valid because the PUBLIC wants it to be valid.

I am saying that the PUBLIC can want whatever the hell it wants, it doesn't make it so.

The FACT is that the Earth revolves around the Sun. The FUNDAMENTALISTS spent several HUNDRED years insisting otherwise. Didn't change the FACT.

In the end, the FACTS ALWAYS WIN. Just like Evolution ALWAYS wins. That's because scientists RELY on FACTS, not voodoo.

You want to believe in witchcraft, fine. Teach that to your kids. See how far that takes them in life. Meanwhile, those of us interested in actually seeing to it that future generations of Americans stand a fighting chance in the world marketplace will continue to push for EDUCATION.

It's as simple as this; the religious in general, and Christians in particular, have to lie to themselves and others in order to make their beliefs sound plausible in this dawning age of enlightenment and science.

Just as religion exists on the margins of science, it is becoming more and more populated and controlled by the most bizarre and stupid people because rational, clear thinking people are coming to their senses.

This forum demonstrates, more than anything, just how bizarre, stupid, and dishonest religionists are becoming.

Oh get over yourself, would you? The shoe has ALWAYS been on the Christian foot. Were atheists fed to the lions and burnt at the stake? Now we see what kind of whinebags the atheists are, don't we?

>>>>>Gillette
Christians have burned, tortured and killed more people than any other group over the last 2000 years -- all in the name of Jesus.

And yes, Catholics are Christians. And Martin Luther was a vicious anti-semite and once Protestantism came along, Protestants engaged in as much killing and torture (of Catholics) as any earlier Christians -- again, all in the name of Jesus.

What are you liars for satan so scared of? Probably hasn't been this much hooplah over a movie sine Mel Gibsons "Passion of The Christ" came out and rattled the Jews cage.

>>>>>Gillette
Ah, so you're a Jew-hater, too? Klan?

And there is very little "hoopla" for this silly movie, which will die a quick death at the box office, something its producers seem to know, since they are attempting to book it at large Christian churches where members will basically HAVE to buy tickets and see it.

>>>Wayne
If there's nothing to it then why is Dawkins so ruffled? Afraid his "God Delusion" will be shown for the trash it is?

>>>Gillette
You've been TOLD why.

Dawkins was interviewed for this movie under false pretenses by Christian liars who didn't tell him they were making an anti-science documentary, and who ended up quote-mining the Dawkins footage to make him appear to say something he wasn't really saying.

If you Christians have to lie repeatedly to make your anti-science points, doesn't it occur to you that you may be on the wrong side of this "controversy"?
