I didn't include sugar metabolism because its receptor didn't show up there. BTW CCK receptor that influences hunger did shown on evolution tree. There are many hormones dealing with hunger.
If i found this connection 2 weeks ago then how could i have it published already in peer-reviewed place? What is there to review beside redoing BLAST search? Can't you at least accept similarities you all could recheck within 2 minutes?
You said something about this at least 20% similarity being known but then could you show it somewhere?
Point was partly you can discover new stuff through using BLAST search but finding that connection with program doesn't prove humans knew about. Imagine all the known genes and then imagine how many possible pairs of comparisons can be made between them. This number is astronomical but BLAST can find closest matches within minutes for 1 gene at time.
I referred to your mentioning of a 20% similarity.
I found myself several times checking long list with correlations...forgot the site.
So usually i think in correlations and not percentages.
All i can think of is perusing the literature and published articles with any content that vaguely goes that way.
What i did find is that fat like ghrelin and leptin also delivers a signal. How? Good question.
So what is it that you actually established?
What are we looking at.

I think we are talking about bit different things. In
http://www.phoenixbiotech.net/allobesity/Refe...
it mentioned that GHS receptor binds with ghrelin BUT that this was "devoid" of opiate activity and this pathway was independent of somatostatin (blocks release of growth hormone) receptor that showed up in BLAST search along with opioid receptors and fatty acid receptors. It's like you are writing about one hunger pathway and i write about different hunger pathway and those 2 seem almost independent of each other.

HFCS breaks down docosahexaeen-acid, which we need for good connections between neural synapses.
omega 3 builds it up.

i've been reading up on leptin.

Still looking for all possible connections in the literature.
F.i. also with cytokines.

Given that leptin would do the signaling:

I also looked at leptin, cytokine-1, astrocytes and the BBB.
Astrocytes and opiate-receptors.
Various studies on how leptin affects activity and AN. Counter-intuitive results etc.

Leptin and UCP-2, insuline and brown adipose tissue.(In general)

I searched for UCP-3 and evolution and primates.
However endocannabinoids and UPC 3 in peripheral white adipose tissue regulation.
