Intelligent design lacks the intelligence.

An engineer who supports intelligent design? WOW! We should care what he thinks about biology.

Hey now, I'm a software engineer and I know ID is bunk. Now SkyNet design, that's another matter.:P

To be able to debunk a science first you need to understand a science. It is obvious that the vast majority of IDiots do not understand biology. And those like Behe have a closed mind when it comes to their own specialties. In the Dover trial he claimed there was no peer reviewed articles that disputed his claims about blood clotting factors (at least that is the topic that came up). They literally built a fort around him with all of the books and peer reviewed articles that totally trashed his views.

Behe almost got charged with perjury for his earlier statement by the judge. He did not see how Behe could have been ignorant of so much work in his own field, and in an area he claimed to know to boot.

Gah, every time I see one of the names of the more popular IDjits I cringe.

Let's do an experiment to see if intelligence can evolve. Assume a frog has made itself over millions of years. And assume you made yourself over many more millions of years. Now assume that metal and plastic had a party and turned themselves into a blender. Let's leave out the evolution of electricity and electrical wire. Blend the frog. You now have a recipe for life - all the ingredients are there - amino acide, enzymes, proteins etc. Ensure there is no intelligence interfering with the soup. Wait a billion years. Will life jump out of the blender??

If the conditions are right, and as long as there is no pre-existing biosphere to absorb the compounds, then over the next billion years life won't jump but may spread from the source in the form of microbial organisms via the mechanism of chemistry.

On the other hand you appear to be supremely confident in this design hypothesis of yours. Could you perhaps elaborate on the mechanism(s) involved and provide evidence?

By the way Russ! Have you finally addressed your numerous lies and mistakes on the other thread yet?

Why not?

This is a classic example of how a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
You left out the part about random mutations and how enviromental factors will favour the survival of one mutation over another.
Where are the changing conditions in the blender ?

Are you still promoting irrelevancies in the hope of backing up creationism?

We have had this discussion before and you went onto full waffle mode and listed myriad irrelevancies, none of which actually did anything to discredit fact. Several of your irrelevancies were not even related to the discussion, you attempted and failed to obfuscate you objections to evolution with unfounded lies and guesswork.

So you are still somewhat behind the times, the experiment has been successfully carried out in several laboratories and the resultant synthetic life created is now showing signs of evolution.

Do a google for “synthetic life”

I had hoped you would have actually leaned something from the links I offered you in the past but hey, I’m not disappointed, we can’t expect too much from you can we
