Mine was great--went hiking, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding in Lake Tahoe, stayed at a friend's home in Squaw Valley.

Now back to the grind.

Mine wasn't as great, but I was off and I enjoyed it.

At least the grind is going to be gentler for me this week.

Well, yes and no. In the summer (when schools are closed), we work 4 ten hour days. Plus an hour drive each way. Which does make for a long day.

But the 3 day weekend are nice!

Good morning everyone. I've worked the four ten hour days. The three day weekend are nice, and I always had to take one day just to recuperate.

Around here we have what is called "Summer Hours." It is more or less as you describe, but it isn't evenly distributed among groups and some people have a very, incredibly liberal view of how long summer lasts. It is hard to stay in and work when it is nice out.

Of course if you live in Florida or some other sunny state with beaches, three day weekends probably work out better than here in the mid-west. But we have thicker bedrock going for us. Yeah, yeah, that the ticket, better bedrock.
