They left Holland because the Dutch were so inhospitable to them because they did not speak Dutch. Sound familiar?????
Uh, no. If you are going to move to a different country, it is not the responsibility of all of the inhabitants of that country to learn YOUR language just to prove how hospitable they are.

Don't blame the Dutch because the Puritans/Pilgrims weren't interested in integrating into the society.

The Puritans/Pilgrims left because they wanted to be the ones doing the religious persecuting and they weren't getting that opportunity in Holland.

Yes.

And even at the time, the Dutch were a remarkably tolerant bunch. They offered at least _de facto_ sanctuary to refugees, religious as well as political, from all over Europe.

Again, a handful of religious primitives, however sour-faced, would not have excited the slightest interest.

If you're going to mock Muslims, at least get it right. It's "Allahu akbar."

No you infidel. It is Allah Akbar. Only pig dog heretics say "Allahu Akbar." You are a tool of Zionist oppression and may the ghost of Saladin put a jihad on you. Soon creationism will be taught everywhere, and the Tennessee Caliphate will reign supreme.

Aahhh yes. Darryl "Chocolate Thunder" Dawkins was an excellent basketball player. He was truly blessed by Allah with the ability to shatter backboards, but he is not a prophet.

He actually played his High School ball locally when I was growing up. I remember seeing him play. Pretty impressive back then even for a H.S. player.
