<quoted text>No. Light behaves in many ways consistent with both classical particles and classical waves. So it's easy to be fooled.

You seem to be merely echoing what I said while claiming to disagree.

<quoted text> I think that you're having a problem understanding words. Perhaps this will help you. It's a dictionary definition of a particle:
par·ti·cle
noun
1. a minute portion, piece, fragment, or amount; a tiny or very small bit
By contrast, here's a dictionary definition of a wave:
wave
noun
1. a disturbance on the surface of a liquid body, as the sea or a lake, in the form of a moving ridge or swell.
2. any surging or progressing movement or part resembling a wave of the sea

I think you are having a problem with understanding new concepts. Perhaps this will help you:

"Wave–particle duality postulates that all particles exhibit both wave and particle properties. A central concept of quantum mechanics, this duality addresses the inability of classical concepts like "particle" and "wave" to fully describe the behavior of quantum-scale objects"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wave%E2%80%93pa...

Read the rest of the article for a fuller treatment. What is relevant here is that neither a pure "particle" nor a pure "wave" description is adequate to describe a photon.

But that doesn't address my point. Feynman taught that photons, for example, are always particles that behave in peculiar ways and that they are never waves that sometimes behave like particles.

Feymann taught that light as a phenomenon is a particle "embedded" in a probability function that behaves like a wave. You cannot extract a piece of this picture and say light is "the particle". Its all part of the same entwined reality. Otherwise the double-slit experiment would not have yielded the results it did.

So Feymann and other geniuses of the quantum revolution saw the unity of the two aspects - particle and wave. Nobody has yet successfully disentangled these two aspects of quantum reality. nor do they expect to.

The old 17th-19th century argument of "which is it REALLY" is dead. Didn't you get the memo?

But of course I can. Mathematicians have incredible power. We can do many seemingly impossible things.

It's an utter triviality to disentangle particle from probability conceptually.

Hello Mr. Megalomaniac. You are a math teacher, not a mathematician. Further, you are ignorant of science and mentally ill and therefore can be completely discounted.

There is neither math nor science there. Only a psychotic ranting.

It is the first step in his recovery. His next step might be best taken at the Royal Gorge or perhaps the Grand Canyon.

I have to agree with you. Somehow you seem to be getting at least a minimum supply of oxygen while your head is firmly inserted in your butt.

Don't forget the potential number of PhD Psychology dissertations that wait to be pulled from this morass of convoluted and psychotic ranting. It may be the only silver lining in Shubee Doo's life.

I'm not surprised to learn that you esteem Feynman's lecture and quotes to be psychotic ranting.

No it is your original material that is psychotic ranting. But don't stop. I haven't laughed this hard in years.
