Should evolution be taught in high school?

There are 180369 comments on the www.scientificblogging.com story from Feb 24, 2008, titled Should evolution be taught in high school?. In it, www.scientificblogging.com reports that:

Microbiologist Carl Woese is well known as an iconoclast. At 79 years of age, Woese is still shaking things up. Most recently, he stated in an interview with Wired that...

"My feeling is that evolution shouldn't be taught at the lower grades. You don't teach quantum mechanics in the grade schools. One has to be quite educated to work with these concepts; what they pass on as evolution in high schools is nothing but repetitious tripe that teachers don't understand."

Its a classic joke, though admit maybe not current.
As an aside - since you do windows stuff (and Apols as asked this before)
MS office 2013 on win 8 - complete bobbins w.r.t MS access (hangs when using chart function, graph.exe) tried google/forums , no suggestions - any ideas?
And passwords - have read that nowadays the average person needs to remember some 23 passwords (banking, social media , work etc)- seriously !!!!!! I have about 30 just for work, thank god for post-it notes :-)
I see your frustrations regarding passwords. My advice is to create a phrase such as Rolling On The Floor Laughing My Ass Off, i.e.l, Rotflmao and then add a special character such as #. Then add a number. That way you can have a complex passord for all your apps. Make the R caps and the rest lower. Add the # and a number and you've got enough passwords for all your apps. And when it comes time to change your password just cycle through all the numbers. Hope this helps!

And also, on a lighter note, do you think Clapton got the idea of Peaches and Diesel from the "rumor" that Duane Allman died when his motorcycle hit a peach truck?

Ah, come on Mike lighten up. You know I heard the Allman Brothers Band live before their first album? Yes indeed at Greynolds Park in Dade County, Miami FLorida I was sat down right in front of the Allman Brothers Band play "It's not my cross to bear" and "Whipping Post" and several others. I was right there! Before their first album came out! Wow! This was just before I joined the Army in 1973. I remember it as if it were yesterday. Now Greynolds Park as a "hippyfest" of sorts and this year Grand Funk Railroad is the featured band! This is a really cool park where when I was young we played our guitars and people did their drugs. There were poetry readings and massive jam sessions! This is truly a national historic place!
Would have loved to have been there. 73 I was still in Europe. Bummer.

And you're still a bit goofy.

Why are you so confused, MikeF?
Trivialization fail. Tyre had a history of being attacked quite often. Nebby was the many nations.

Still a failed prophesy.

It must have been the same heartless bastards that also rebuilt Pompeii
You are the only fool who is saying anything about rebulding Pompeii.

Pompei and Pompeii are two different sites.

Tyre was rebuilt on the site of Tyre. It is a rebuilt city.

Prophesy fail.

So
Inconvenient scriptures are ignored?
Ezekiel clearly says "many nations"
Its right there in Ezekiel 26: 3
BEFORE he mentions Nebuchadnezzar
Which he does in Ezekiel 26:7
So, like your evo-peer, SZ, you like pretend games and dress-ups too?
Yes, Nebby was the head of many nations.

Prophesy fail.

Why would a serious scholar purposely ignore an important and valid point?
He ignored the scripture that clearly states that God says He will bring MANY NATIONS against Tyre
He skips over Ezekiel 26:3
Just like you are doing
Satan is the Father of lies
You are serving your master well
No, he didn't. He dealt with it. You obviously did not watch the video. Hint Nebby is known as a "king of kings". He also states quite clearly why Alex does not count. And he further points out how the prophecy still fails if you do allow Alex to count. Not only did he not scrape Tyre clean, it can still be found today. We know where Tyre is. Still a terribly failed prophesy.

Why don't you watch the whole thing this time:

I watched all of yours that dealt with Tyre, I even told you where history says that your guy was wrong.

Are you equally confused by there being a modern Pompei?
Does that imply in anyway whatsoever that ancient Pompeii has been rebuilt?
The modern building seen around the sites of modern Tyre or Sur
are not built on the site of the ancient Phoenician city of Tyre
The island component is largely underwater
The site of Old Tyre is considered to be south east of the location of island Tyre
There's nothing there
Please see Biblical archaeologist David Down talk about this
Hear what archaeologists working at Tyre had to say about finding any ruins from the ancient Phoenician city

You obviously have not done any reading on this subject
Here is an article that may assist

No, most of the island part is not underwater.

You misinterpreted the article about how the island is sinking.

No. Sorry there is no such thing as creation "science". Science is not what is done at creatard sites. Many of them admit it openly.

Correction.(Sometimes it's hard to determine where your attacks are.) Yes. There are peer-reviewed creation research journals every bit as good - even better - than secular peer-reviewed journals. That is TRUE!
And as soon as you can name a single technology, innovation, or medical treatment that has come about as a result of that "research," you'll start to have a point.
