To submit to the belief in evolution as stated, is to accept that every single living thing descends from one single mineral that was jiggled around in a "pool of water" and then struck by the magic winning lightning bolt of the ages.

AKA Your Great Great Great*10^1000 Grandfather was a microscopic rock. Sorry, doesn't make sense.

I suppose the Derf or Doof or whatever his name is and his fellow asylum inmates will defend their precious jiggly mineral ancestor to the death with fundy giggle speak.

Oh I'm mortally wounded by such rapier wit. Oh will I ever survive.

The theory of evolution does not rely on abiogenesis.

It has been mentioned before, but you fundies always insist you be reminded again. You have such short memories.

Yep Tardolution is like breaking a magnet into a north pole and a south pole. Easier said than done.

Care to present an alternative explaination of either
how life originated
how life diversifies

Precisely the point. You're an internet troll, and internet trolls don't do their homework. That is why you are consistently wrong.

Except you are anti-science. In fact you've just smacked headfirst into the infinite regression fallacy. Know why?

I'm guessing that's what "Of Pandas and People" changed their cdesign proponentsist to?
Of Pandas and People (1987,“intelligent design” version), p. 3-41:“Evolutionists think the former is correct, cdestardolutionistsentsist accept the latter view.”

So you reject science that does not support your fantasy?
Which particular field of science am I rejecting and why? What fantasy do I have that you think I'm promoting here?

You've had time to think about your infinite regression fallacy. Why did you not address this?

Yeah, what's atheism got to do with anything, DP? And how childish is it to claim evolution is stupid when it's long been a verifiable fact accepted by the science community? Especially when you can't back up your case?

Dude, that's funny. It is not fact, it is theory.
There has yet to be found a direct link showing this claimed evolution.
Even Darwin admitted it was a theory he didn't believe to be true.

You need an education as to what constitutes a scientific theory:

"A scientific theory summarizes a hypothesis or group of hypotheses that have been supported with repeated testing. If enough evidence accumulates to support a hypothesis, it moves to the next step—known as a theory—in the scientific method and becomes accepted as a valid explanation of a phenomenon."

Evolution is an OBSERVED FACT. The "scientific theory" as defined above that explains the FACT of evolution is the "Theory of Evolution".

Darwin NEVER suggested he believe his own theory not to be true. That is a blatant falsehood.

Wikipedia:
"A scientific theory is a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world, based on knowledge that has been repeatedly confirmed through observation and experimentation.[1][2] Scientists create scientific theories from hypotheses that have been corroborated through the scientific method, then gather evidence to test their accuracy. As with all forms of scientific knowledge, scientific theories are inductive in nature—that is, they seek to supply strong evidence for but NOT ABSOLUTE PROOF OF THE TRUTH of the conclusion"
(Emphasis mine)

Webster:
an idea that is suggested or presented as possibly true but that is not known or proven to be true.

Lesson over.

Again....we are using the definition of "theory" as it pertains to SCIENCE.

As another on these threads is fond of saying: "Proofs are for mathematics and alcohol".

Science NEVER claims "PROOF" of anything to 100% confirmation.
Just like the Theory of Gravity is not *proven*.

There is VERY little doubt that gravity exists, but I bet you wouldn't test that gravitational theory is wrong by stepping off of a tall building.

There is always a possibility that a newer, better explanation for diversity of life on earth will present itself. Until that newer/better rationale comes around, The Theory of Evolution *IS* the explanation for what we observe in nature.

NOW the lesson is over.
