OK, what sort of "Creation" are you talking about? If it involves deity, it's about religion.

If you want to advocate Creation by deity, show your evidence. We got more than enough smug Bible thumpers who think they know every evil plan on Topix designed to make the faithful cry....and they are all Leftist, Communist, homosexuals who do drugs! Right?

If you wanted respect, you sure should have kept that stereotyping to yourself, Jeeves!

Of course it's about religion. The ONLY reason why you think there is a "creation" is BECAUSE of your religion.

There is NO, repeat, NO logic, reasoning, scientific research or empirical evidence FOR your "creation" or "creation science", but since it is "described" in your RELIGIOUS holy book you believe that it is "true" and actually happened, and you will LIE through your teeth to try to make it "scientific" and "invalidate" the REAL science that demonstrates how idiotic your "creation" mythology is.

It should also be noted that there are LOTS of religions around the world (most with their own, dissimilar "creation" myths), but it is ONLY your religion and it's close siblings (Abrahamic religions) that claim that this "creation" occurred, and it is ONLY adherents to these religions who promote the "creation" myths that YOU subscribe to and are "defending" on this thread.

Err,eehh Uhhh!
The future or knowing the future has nothing to do with free will.
Individuals are not predestined.
Put it this way, Regardless of the individuals actions, the ultimate outcome for God is known.(By God)
You are only responsible for your own actions and those actions will determine your own personal outcome.=Free will.

This the same God that can't even find Adam in the Garden of Eden?

The argument for free will is refuted by an all knowing god. That is an old argument. Do you have anything new and interesting?

Stop the presses! Starky is finally right about one thing. There is no connection between evolution and religion. It is based upon science and nothing else.

I think he is here for the precise reason that he can vent his internal anger. But I will withhold judgement to see if he can calm down and join the discussion.

Maybe I'm the only one not getting this but this seems like obfuscation. Clearly we don't know what our future actions will be. So the deity knows the result before the action? I fail to see how this is any different than knowing what an individual's actions will be. The deity is supposed to be timeless, yes? Is the future a barrier to the deity or can he transcend it? If he knows all that was and all that will be then it certainly is predestination. It he only knows outcomes and doesn't/can't backtrace them to determine actions then he lacks true omniscience.

For some reason, nothing you have said thus far has been a challenge.
You can no more prove that man evolved from apes than I can prove that God put Man here.
So you go on and believe what you want and I'll do the same.

Another question I have is about the deity's awareness of his own future actions. In the Old Testament the deity sometimes acts and then later regrets the decision. For example, The Flood. Doesn't he express to Noah afterword that he is sorry for his action and in the future will not create another such cataclysm in response to 'waywardness'? That would indicate a lack of foresight as well as an ability to act irrationally (even if having such foresight), both of which seem at odds with being a 'perfect' entity. Correct?

No Starky, a discussion based upon science, logic and evidence. If either side uses poor resources, bad logic, or shoddy evidence it should be pointed out by the other side.

I know, it is a very difficult task for creationists to take on. Most eventually admit that they are believing merely because they want to believe, not because there is any evidence supporting their side.

Also to be fair you need to state your beliefs and why you believe them. No one on our side is afraid to state what we believe. You make yourself look weak if you are not willing to admit what you believe in.

Then post some evidence that backs up your position. We are not afraid to back up our beliefs.

You seem to make up your own interpretations of what others say as you go along.
Its like a law with a predetermined outcome depending on whether you follow that law, or break that law.
If you break that law, the law maker knows what will happen to you. You get to decide whether or not to break it.
You don't get to change the outcome if you do.
Free will?
