Just curious: Assuming evolution is wrong, what would you have in its ...

In the letter encouraging school boards to not waste time and money listening to and deciding between evolution and creation/intelligent design, none of the cases referred to involved such a decision.

The air has weight because it is a form of mass. The air moves because the Earth rotates. Now, what does this have to do with "unseen hands"? Where is the evidence that these "unseen hands" exist?
Why does the earth rotate? What does that make the earth rotate? I know you cannot see the hands that make it rotate but how does it's possible to rotate? Of course, it's the unseen hands that rotate it.

Please explain how these changes are passed on genetically.

I had thought that I had by defining the process in my response to MADRONE and stipulating that "heredity" took care of the rest...Please keep up.
Darwins Stepchild wrote:
This sounds as if you are promoting some form of Lamarckism.
Actually, I was thinking more so along the lines of the studies of one geneticist from Oxford University by the name of Henry Bernard Davis Kettlewell who, during his study of a species of moth (Biston betularia), characterized by their light coloration which matched such backgrounds indigenous to their ecology as the light tree trunks and lichen-covered rocks that the moths passed the daylight hours sitting motionless on, observed that they had ADAPTED their morphological composition coloring to compensate for the fallout of particulate matter from industry driven smokestacks by adopting, through the process I outlined in my reply to MADRONE, the far darker coloration of the ever more so pervasive particulate matter fallout from the emerging industrial age.

You see, much like any creature &/or biological organism, when it's environment changes so that they no longer enjoy a symbiotic, life conducive relationship with it, it is forced to mutate or ADAPT to a form better suited to it's new environment.

Mind you though, this process of adaption is not exclusive to moths as various examples of the self same process can be observed all throughout the spectrum of biological organisms from species of insect to even that of our own species of homo sapien.
Darwins Stepchild wrote:
Also, you have not at all presented any explanation of how "adaptation" and "evolution" are different in terms of genetic change within a species over time.
I actually did present an explanation by stating that 'evolution' does not apply to biological organisms.

Neither the Sun, nor the Moon, nor the stars are materially adjacent to the Earth, and therefore, cause no friction. Airplanes and clouds are *within* the Earth's atmosphere, so they don't cause friction either.

Now, what is it that would supposedly cause friction with the Earth?

Because it was formed from the original solar nebula, which had angular momentum from a nearby supernova.
Divine Alien wrote:

Inertia. Once a thing rotates, it continues to do so unless there is something to stop it from doing so.
Divine Alien wrote:

No "unseen hands" are needed to explain what causes the Earth to rotate.

Just because God created man in his image does not mean he is identical. Take a paper & pencil & create a picture of yourself, in your own image. It's similar but not identical. You can all quit with teh stupid questions like "Does God have a navel?" or "what colour eyes does God have?"

What proof is there of a God? Look around! everything you can see, hear, smell, touch, taste is proof of God's existence.

according to the big bang theory the universe started out with a bang & began spinning in one direction. so, pray tell, why is it that there are 2 planets & 8 moons that spin opposite of every other planet & moon?

Because of impact (or close approaches) by other objects.

Then what are the points of similarity?

pick something. anything. ask yourself where it came from. then ask yourself where THAT came from. continue doing so and you'll find the only logical answer is that everything is created by a creator, who was in turn created by THE creator.

You're the one claiming that human beings were made in the image of "God", and that it doesn't mean that humans look identical to "God". So what are the points of similarity?

Or, the Universe has always been here, and things within it merely change over time. No need for a "creator".

The space in which the earth exist. Just like an aquarium filled with water in which the fish exist. There's a friction between the fish and the water.

What initiated the rotation? How nice it could be if the car move and couldn't stop! We could save lots on fuel!

You claimed that rotation was not initiated! That's silly!

What I was taught as a child is God is everywhere, I feel as we grow and sin take grasp of our lifes we cannot see God even in our own family. I mean how many people wake up in the morning and just love watching the sun rise or smile when they see there kids or laugh when things go wrong. God to me is the creator (of everything I see) we are his creatures we are like God when we create.

The thing which really fastinates about life is is how we are able to create babies wether we like it or not have this power to create life. But in the same time we don't even need to study like this naturally comes to man this always makes me know God exists

Because biological organisms do not evolve in a physiological sense, instead they adapt and those adaptations are then passed on to it's progeny, it's successors, through heredity.
Drew Smith wrote:
What is it that you think evolution is?
Evolution is what we've seen in the automotive industry wherein the automobile was once little more than a single-cylinder powered three-wheeled vehicle ( http://www.uaw-chrysler.com/images/news/first... ), which was later succeeded by two, four, eight, ten, twelve and even sixteen-cylinder powered four-wheeled vehicles that we see on the roads today that will, inevitably, be succeeded by automobiles that are purely electric ( http://www.teslamotors.com/models/index.php )...Evolution.

Evolution is what we've seen in the firearm industry wherein the firearm has evolved from a single-shot musket ( http://www.circlekb.com/page/CKCG/PROD/CA39-8... ) to a multi-round revolver, from a semi-automatic to a fully automatic and now, to one that doesn't even require any trigger at all and can fire a million rounds in 60 seconds ( http://www.youtube.com/watch... )...Evolution.
