A Trojan Horse for Creationism

Mar 8, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Truthdig

I watched in shock the summer before my sophomore year of high school as my home state, Louisiana, passed a law that opened the door for the teaching of creationism.

Virtually everything you have pushed at us today in the form of Christian dogma is a part of the worldview of a certain type of Protestant, conservative, perhaps "non-denom", born-again religion known as "fundamentalist Christianity."
You are certainly and absolutely a "fundie."
Why deny it?
Next you'll drag out the hoary old nonsense about "not having a religion, but a relationship," right?
Call me what you will, I believe in and follow God and his word and will continue to do so instead of following any man made "dogmas".

What is waiting you after death? There is no concrete answer for that. Perhaps many choose to believe that there is another plain of consciousness that our "souls" enter once we leave this plain. I choose to believe that God dwells in that other plain. I believe that our bodies are merely vessels that house our life force of energy while we exist on this plain.
Interesting so far. I think you may mean "plane" rather than "plain," though, right? otherwise the next world might bear too much resemblance to North Dakota or nebraska.:)
CBOW wrote:

I believe that knowing God and accepting Jesus Christ opens the "path" to that alternate plain.
If all souls naturally leave this life and enter that plane, why would coming to a certainand exclusive belief in a certain one human understanding of God or divinity be necessary to open any paths. We would all be going there, right?

For the sake of the same argument, suppose the MUSLIMS are correct and ALlah is Lord and you Christians are judged as shameless infidels fit only to be tortured forever in Allah's hell?
Ready to change your beliefs to Islam, JUST IN CASE?
If not, then you know how WE feel when you make the same CRACKPOT ARGUMENT to us about believing in your fundie Christianity.
The christins and the muslims worship the SAME god.

No. Thru the front gate of Cedar Hill Cemetery is the way to The Father of mine. Family plot at the top of the hill. Case Closed.

Not according to the Muslims. According to them, you are GOING TO HELL.

Case Closed.

Ready to convert to Islam?

Then you know why we find YOUR approach to this issue so SILLY.

Google "Pascal's Wager" and see how silly your logic is.

Why would you follow a word that is proven to be full of lies and not divinely inspired? Sounds like you are firmly in the grip of the cult...

And you are welcome to.

However here everyone is free to agree or disagree. And our stipulation is that if one makes claims they at least attempt to back them up. Otherwise you're just stating your opinion. In which case you could have just said at the beginning "I believe in God and nothing you say will convince me otherwise!" and saved a whole lot of time.

The Bible is man made. If you follow it you are following a man made dogma.

Creationism/ID just aint got it.
Read my post again. I'm not talking about science. I'm talking about atheists. The absolutism of both theists and atheists is hardly science. The word might be arrogance.

Theism and atheism are both irrelevant to the validity of science. There may or may not be a God.
However 'His-Truth' claims he may have an answer. But he is being unusually cagey about identifying both the alleged designs and the alleged designer. So I'm trying to find out if he has anything scientific to offer.
So far, due to his own failure, no success.
I agree with your opening statement. But waiting for "His-Truth" to say something scientific is more hopeless than waiting for Sarah Palin to write a sequel to Hamlet.

I have made my sentiments known to "His-Truth" on this thread. Whatever he's smoking, he wuz robbed.

Have you sobered up yet?

Aren't there verses in your book of myth that tell you not to consume excessive spirits?
