Rapid evolution exists, so evolutionary psychology is racist.

There is evidence that rapid evolution exists. The explanation offered by natural selection is that an already present individual variability can quickly be turned into group differences by natural selection. But this means that the "evolutionary speed limits" evolutionary psychology invokes to declare humanity homogenous do not exist. There are also (and have historically been even greater) differences in living conditions across the world. So evolutionary psychology makes racist predictions, just like the theory of a lumniferous aether predicts annual changes in light speed in different directions. And yet empirical studies shows that all supposedly racial differences in intelligence and behavior can be ruled out if enough sociological factors are taken into account (not only economy but also cultural values). Just like no annual change in light speed in different directions can actually be observed. So evolutionary psychology belongs in the same trashbin as lumniferous aether.

Examples of how evolutionary psychology makes racist predictions:

#Differences in the prevalence of starvation should theoretically have produced different selection pressures against energy-expenditure in brains (remember that brain metabolism can be lowered drastically without significantly shrinking brain volume). This should create different brainpower restrictions.

#Differences in child mortality should be expected to have produced different maturation rates, which evolutionary psychology predicts should affect "learning windows" and thus cognitive and emotional development.

#According to the kin selection explanation of non-reproductive sexual orientations, differences in group size and social networking (especially between farmers and hunter-gatherers) should have selected for dramatic differences in the prevalence of such orientations.

#In countries where the whole family of offenders were executed, this should theoretically have caused a selective breeding effect against behaviors historically illegal in those countries.

In other words, there must be some methodological factor difference between studies of individual psychiatry and studies of ethnic differences to explain why nature explanations prevailed in the former and nurture explanations prevailed in the latter. Rapid evolution shows that both should have the same explanation. But what is the methodological difference?

As shown in "Mind, Brain and Education" by Kurt Fischer and Christina Hinton, and in "The brain that changes itself", brain rewirings that conventional wisdom considers impossible have been documented and linked by metastudies to tolerant environments. That may be the missing methodological factor. After all, racist discrimination is also a form of intolerance!

If you do not read, you cannot know if it is stupid. Rapid evolution disproves the "evolutionary speed limit" and different living conditions across the world exists.
