Yes, the world is getting better & better. Someone’s once said,“It’s either you get it or you don’t.” She was right
She also said:
"Of all the fcks I don't give, you're at the top of the list."

Then this is part of your problem. There is a huge difference between religious faith and ordinary confidence. Religious faith is based on not thinking too deeply about the problems while ordinary confidence is achieved through observation and knowledge.

Yes I have read the new testament. The books in it read like texts from the other mystery religions at the time. You see similar thngs in Gnosticism (both Christian and pagan), the cult of Isis, the cult of Mithra, and several others from the same time period.
As for your little passage: you first have to demonstrate it was written by an eyewitness of the events. There are many texts from that time describing similar 'miracles' and claiming to be a witness was a common way to get ideas transmitted.
Please illustrate,“not thinking too deeply about the problems” conceptually & empirically. Otherwise it’s just nonsense meant to persuade an uncritical mind. It’s given to today’s Man who can’t think for himself to recycle as if it actually means something.

Isis, Mythras etc never actually existed, writings about them post not pre-date the New Testament. But they are thrown about e.g. in the Zeitgeist movies for unthinking minds to feel informed & without having to examine things for themselves – they just listen to the experts & the TV!

We have internal evidence i.e. his books that Peter existed & that’s more there is for Julius Caesar. What’s the equivalent for “many texts from that time describing similar 'miracles' and claiming to be a witness?” Again these alleged other texts sound convincing to uncritical minds. But on close examination they are just fluff or noise. Try giving ONE source with actual dates, places, people’s names etc. You have my sympathy.

We have Julius Caesar's 'Gallic War', standard fare for any student of Latin. It is a first hand account, no wizards, magicians, witches or talking animals and not written a hundred years after the alleged 'miracles'.

The gods cease to exist when people stop praying to them. That is the only thing that separates myth from religion.

Horus (Ancient Egyptian deity) never existed either. But the religious texts that describe him do exist. Horus "lived" more than 1000 years before Jesus.

13a. After the birth of Jesus, Herod tried to have him murdered.(Matthew 2:16)
13b. After the birth of Horus, Herut tried to have him murdered. This may be more of a coincidence, as the Herod in the time of Jesus is a historical figure.(source unknown)

14a. To hide from Herod, an angel tells Joseph to “arise and take the young child and his mother and flee into Egypt.”(Matthew 2:13)
14b. To hide from Herut, the god That tells Isis,“Come, thou goddess Isis, hide thyself with thy child.”

I took a peek at 1 & 2 Peter. They are nothing but sermons. Just because they're thrown into the sixty-six books of the Protestant Bible doesn't validate the balance.

You are not applying anythink like an uncritical mind. You bury the facts in excrement to rationalize your superstitious beliefs.

Telling us what the "code" is.

I ALWAYS hear religion is fine as long it doesn’t interfere with progress of science, as if it did (Collins, Miller, Kepler). Why is atheism exempt? It had us believe for decades 99% of DNA was junk & now it proclaims without evidence, that nature produces information.
Those are not atheistic claims as they make no mention of the existence of a God or lack thereof.
LGK wrote:
We are entitled to say atheism should be kept to oneself and in any case, it is not fine! As long as atheism or (prostitution) doesn't attempt to claim its ideas are scientific, I have no issue with it.
Atheism is irrelevant to science.

What's the "code", El?

Funny, I constantly point out that doctors are not utilizing the methodology or tools given them by science. That is the real cause of their killing patients. You simply proved the point I made, science works, it's the stereotyping and other such aspects of religion that cause the failures in humanity.

I am a prime example of this. My ailments have been stereotyped, and because of that one has almost killed me and the other went undiagnosed for a very long time. Had they utilized the scientific tools and understanding we have developed this would never have happened. Instead the medical practitioners relied on their own personal bias, belief, and tried to protect their egos.
