Human beings are smarter than animals. For example, unlike animals, human beings search for more proactive approaches to cooperative behavior.

Does this illuminate the psychological appeal of the Hollywood (USA) movie "Superman IV: The Quest for Peace" (1987)?

Are they printing movie posters on hemp/recycled paper yet?

God bless!

Since human beings *are* animals, we must assume that you meant to say "smarter than *other* animals".

Art is meant for beholding. How can we not see creative artistry in our natural world and universe? If we consider how things are arranged in patternlike forms everywhere, we must come to realize that these forms were created to be pleasing to some high intelligence that is capable of beholding beauty.

I try so hard and it burns like gasolene, but maybe someday we'll be better off somehow when we figure all this out.

"Man has always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much - the wheel, New York, wars and so on - while all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man for precisely the same reason." - Douglas Noel Adams

Superman IV had no appeal, psychological or otherwise. From wiki: "Of the four Superman films starring Reeve, this one fared the worst at the box office, and the series, as it turned out, went dormant for 19 years....The film was universally panned by critics. The review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes reported that 10% of 30 critics gave the film positive reviews. The movie received a poor review by The New York Times. It fared no better with Variety. The Washington Post described it as "More sluggish than a funeral barge, cheaper than a sale at K mart, it's a nerd, it's a shame, it's 'Superman IV.'"

Art comes through an artist, whether it be a painting, a poem or song or any other expression of vision. Vision is given, and a true artist can see it and convey what it is to others.

Exceptional ability is a distinguishing feature or characteristic that is found in all truly profound works of art which have an imprint on those who behold the vision in them.

Everyone does not see life as lacking meaning and purposeless as you and your Evolutionist friends do. Get over it. Many people are able to see life as being full of meaning and purposeful with significant beauty to behold.

In other words:

You're still clueless.

Thanks for clearing that up.

I do have a point. Artwork is objects that are produced as types and the elements and in many instances have details that tell us about the person who is proficient enough to perform workmanship. I see skilled workmanship, execution and agency distinguished in all of nature throughout our world and universe.

MOST people do, INCLUDING the VAST majority of people who accept the biological Theory of Evolution as the best scientific explanation for the diversity of life we see on planet Earth, past and present.

Of course, the VAST majority of them don't have to resort to your "fundamentalist christian creationist" goat-herder, bronze age FAIRY TALE god to give their lives "meaning and purpose and beauty to behold".

For MOST people "flowerz iz purdy an' kittehz iz kyoot, therefore goddidit" is a ridiculously childish "theological" argument that has NO logic, reason, research, empirical evidence or sound science in support.

That sort of argument is reserved for those people who are so desperate to be right (because they think that their "eternal lives" depend upon it) that any diseased and rotten straw is worth grasping at.
