Right. And the Bible is right because the Bible says it is right, right in the Bible.[/sarcasm]

Well, it's the end of a hateful era, with the passing of the fundie George H W Bush.

His stance on science and scientific inquiry is the worst in history.

His policies have done more to inhibit science and scientific research than all the previous presidents combined. He truly took the US from a scientific leader to a scientific back-water in just 8 years.

But, he's gone...along with his ideological brethren.

It's like a breath of fresh air; for the new administration has already indicated that actual *scientists* will be on his science advisory staff.

Imagine that: asking actual, real, bona-fide scientists about science.

Amazing.

Ironically, the bible never makes that claim!

That the bible is infallible is an idea that did not come about till the protestant reformation. Martin Luther, in rejecting the catholic church, needed something to base Christianity on OTHER than the church itself. So the bible became the new holy body of Christ INSTEAD of the Catholic church.

True? Yes.

Crazy? Perhaps.

LOL. True, it doesn't, but a LOT of fundies think it does and will argue that it does.

And when asked to provide proof the usually point to a verse that uses the phrase "Word of God".

Here are the answers from a christian appologetic site:

Does not take more than an open mine to laugh at this garbage.

Then the LORD stretched out His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me, "Behold, I have put My words in your mouth." (Jeremiah 1:9).

Yeah, right. All this really says is that Jeremiah CLAIMS that his words were the word of God.

As I recall, Son of Sam made some similar claims about his dog speaking with the voice of God.

Makes sense.

Son of Sam was obviously dyslexic.

Or at least: his dog was....

And God created man in his image? Did God look like a dinosaur?
