Thump that Bible! A poorly translated politically cobbled together collection of stone age myths whose followers held humanity in almost two mellinia of Dark Ages. Welcome to the 5th century! Live in a mud hut, die at 25, give everything to your local flock-fleecer. And yes I am making fun of you, wilful ignorance deserves nothing else. |

No. Your bible is not a relevant source document for anything scientific. When you start off with "goddidit", that pretty much screws the rest. |

"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." (attributed to Einstein) |
Doesn't have a damn thing to do with evolution. It does say a lot about your paranoia and pathological world view. |

Your comment says a lot about your pigheaded arrogance. |

Yeah that's fine Wayne. Now, do you want to tell me what the hell a piece of scripture written 2000 years ago has to do with evolution? You people are all nuts, you know that, right? |

Anyone who disagrees with Wayne is an agent of Satan.

Because that piece of Scripture declares evolution a lie and YOU a liar for promoting it. |

Who to believe, who to believe? 1) 150 years of tested and repeatable research detailed thousands upon thousands of peer-reviewed papers, zero solid evidence to refute it and thousands of scientific advances based on it or 2) Some ancient text written by people who hadn't even explored a third of the Earth with a highly irrational and easily debunked unscientific view of the world. Gee, that's a tough one. -pb |

The "bible" is the greatest human contrivance ever written.
At once it can lead to Salvation or Damnation. Depending on the point of view of the person interpretting it & their influence. |

Hello. I hope you know about a new theory of evolution that encompasses both scientific findings and traditions and religious ones (all religions). If not, read about it on my webpage at http://www.homestead.com/theosophy/ascesnion.... or search for recent discussions using the word: "girasas" which was coined to refer to a higher kingdom of nature instrumental in understanding this new theory.

I am sorry that this is off-topic Zeke, but may I ask what breed of dog that is in your avatar? He/she is absolutely adorable. |

Thanks! Sophie's a Welsh Terrier puppy; she's about 9 weeks old in that photo. She'll grow to about 10 kgs (22 pounds) and 40 cms (16 inches) tall at the shoulder. Born 100% black, her head, legs and tail will get progressively more tan coloured--and her "beard" will grow--until she looks exactly like a smaller version of an Airedale (i.e. a tan terrier with a black "saddle"). Interestingly, from a biological or breeding perspective, Welshes are not miniature Airedales though. They are actually the older breed and Airedales were bred "up" from them. We had a Welsh and an Airedale previously who were each other's best buddies for nearly a decade and a half. Before Sophie is a year old we hope to get her an Airedale "big brother" too. Obviously my wife and I are very fond of the two breeds :-) High on the list of a Welsh's many endearing qualities is a profound goofiness. They are born comedians. They love to invent and perform weird stunts--apparently for the sole purpose of entertaining the human members of their pack and making us laugh. Hope that wasn't too much info! One time a woman asked me the same question in person and I responded in a similar long-winded fashion. When I finished, she looked at me and said, "You don't have any children, do you?" I was so busted--LOL! |
