Muffy, if you want to run with dogs, claiming you are only a poodle is no defence.
Maybe you should have directed your rant towards DarwinPaul and not me, if he was the one that gave you that quote and you were replying for his benefit? Seems ironic you would tell me off for misquoting someone by misquoting me!

No he isn't.

He's dead.

He's welcome to his opinion. He might be wrong. It wouldn't be the first time.

By the way, you're in the wrong forum. You want to be here:

http://www.topix.com/forum/religion/atheism

Evolution has nothing to do with atheism. Even Christians accept evolution. You're in the evolution forum. So either you present information about evolution or you point out why it's wrong. Except I should point out you have already failed on the latter, if it happens to be your opinion.

It's not just well known but also an established fact that creationists lie without remorse.

So much so it kinda makes you wonder if they even believe their own rants but are too scared to admit it.

As it's quite obvious they have no fear of God.(shrug)

You are right, it matters little what Einstein's opinion was.

It matters more that creationist frauds are happy to fabricate lies about Einstein in their attempts to persuade their idiot cohorts with fake argument from authority.

And the irony is that these despicable little pricks call biologists liars.

As if these idiots, excuse me EvoTards, think that Einstein didn't believe in a creator. Ha!

Remark made during Einstein's first visit to Princeton University.(April 1921)] as quoted in Einstein (1973) by R.W. Clark, Ch. 14. "God is slick, but he ain’t mean" is a variant translation of this (1946) Unsourced variant: "God is subtle but he is not malicious."
in Hermanns' book Einstein and the Poet, Einstein said: "As I have said so many times, God doesn't play dice with the world."

//////////
Try and penetrate with our limited means the secrets of nature and you will find that, behind all the discernible concatenations, there remains something subtle, intangible and inexplicable. Veneration for this force beyond anything that we can comprehend is my religion. To that extent I am, in point of fact, religious.
"A Mocking" Response to atheist Alfred Kerr in the winter of 1927, who after deriding ideas of God and religion at a dinner party in the home of the publisher Samuel Fischer, had queried him "I hear that you are supposed to be deeply religious" as quoted in The Diary of a Cosmopolitan (1971) by H. G. Kessler
//////////

I see a clock, but I cannot envision the clockmaker. The human mind is unable to conceive of the four dimensions, so how can it conceive of a God, before whom a thousand years and a thousand dimensions are as one ?

There's more to spit at the Tards.

You were wrong.

I provided actual Einstein quotes.

Now you hurl pathetic little insults. And no, I am not tattooed, pierced, on drugs, or sexually deviant. But its revealing that you need to see your opponents in this way, brainwashed as you no doubt are that anyone who does not believe in the Bible is living in the pit of depravity. That only tells me that without the fear that the Bible puts in you, that is exactly who YOU would become.

We can all see that even with the fear of God, you have still rationalised that its OK to bear false witness if you are "supporting God" while doing so.

If that were not the case, you would have retracted your claim and apologised when it became obvious that Einstein's views were nothing like what you thought they were.

Do you have an ounce of honesty in you?
Can you admit when you are wrong?

If not, all the Bible thumping in the world is not going to save your sorry little ass.

But you cannot teach your OPINION in science class. You teach observed fact. The observed fact is that "Creation" as literally read in Genesis is not correct.

DarwinPaul wrote, "Einstein who is thought to be one of the smartest men on the planet said "only a fool could not see the hand of God in the creation of the universe." "

I looked for this Einstein quote through Google, and I was unable to find any reference to this quote whatsoever. Until you can provide a link to Einstein saying this, I brand this as a lie on your part.

But I DID find this (among other quotes attributed to Einstein) on Wikipedia:

Einstein expressed his skepticism regarding an anthropomorphic deity, often describing it as "naïve" and "childlike". He stated, "It seems to me that the idea of a personal God is an anthropological concept which I cannot take seriously. I feel also not able to imagine some will or goal outside the human sphere. My views are near those of Spinoza: admiration for the beauty of and belief in the logical simplicity of the order which we can grasp humbly and only imperfectly. I believe that we have to content ourselves with our imperfect knowledge and understanding and treat values and moral obligations as a purely human problem—the most important of all human problems."[7]

On 22 March 1954 Einstein received a letter from Joseph Dispentiere, an Italian immigrant who had worked as an experimental machinist in New Jersey. Dispentiere had declared himself an atheist and was disappointed by a news report which had cast Einstein as conventionally religious. Einstein replied on 24 March 1954:

"It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it."

No. when its evidence backed science that meets the demands of the scientific method, as the theory of evolution does, as agreed by every major scientific body and institution in the world including the US National Academy of Sciences, its not just opinion.
