From a NY times editorial:
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said:“I condemn in the strongest terms the attack on our mission. We are heartbroken by this terrible loss. There is never any justification for violent acts of this kind.”

The Romney campaign also issued a statement. Initially, it had a midnight embargo—in deference to the September 11 anniversary– but the campaign later lifted it.

“I’m outraged by the attacks on American diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt and by the death of American consulate worker in Benghazi,” Mr. Romney said.“It’s disgraceful that the Obama Administration’s first response was not to condemn the attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks.”

This partisan hatchet job hardly even makes sense. The statement in question came from the embassy, not the Obama administration. And it’s perfectly reasonable that embassy staff tried to pacify the rioters by condemning “efforts to offend believers of all religions.” During the Danish cartoons flap, the Bush administration said “we certainly understand why Muslims would find these images offensive.”

Frank Lee Plain,
The embassy mission is the Obama administration.

You are thinking maybe all of the embassy's state of the art communications were down or maybe only Romney had access to the embassy website and rweets?

Then you must believe that using websites and tweets to pacify a crowd outside the gates would be a viable plan?

Then you need to believe that the embassy 'tweeter' was a rogue low level gofer who slipped all of the messages by senior staff.

I will admit the real time line of events will be difficult to reconstruct because of the deleted tweets, but one time line is solid, 9/11. Not a good day to be napping and 16 hours is a long nap.

Yes, unlike Obama apologizing for our freedom of speech, Kicking the Israel Prime Minister to the curb yet again just so he can get Beyonce's autograph and letting the State Department neuter our marines at the embassy in Egypt buy not allowing them to carry live ammo.
Your right, Obama is the epitome of all things presidential.

Had not thought of that before Joe, but he does seem like a guy who won a Power Ball lottery and thinks everyone loves him for himself and it doesn't get any better than Bud Light Platinum.

Like Mitt Romney, you should check your facts before making false statements.

From the Fox Nation Website that reported the false rumor about Marines not having live ammo:

**UPDATE**

Further Marine spokesman at Pentagon Lt Col Chris Hughes says these reports are NOT true. This is on the record:

“The Ambassador and RSO have been completely and appropriately engaged with the security situation. No restrictions on weapons or weapons status have been imposed. This information comes from the Det Commander at AMEMB Cairo.”
