Ground has been broken for the Love Veterinary Center on Route 32 in Willington, Connecticut.

The 12,000 square foot facility will offer such unique amenities as a drive-up window for clients to pick-up their pet's prescriptions and separate dog and cat entrances.

This state-of-the art veterinary center which will offer on-site surgery and digital x-ray services is scheduled to open during the summer/fall of 2008. A website with additional information about the center is scheduled to be online by April 1, 2008. Shown in the photo are Dr. Teresa Love and her husband, builder Jeff Love along with 'Bunny' a German-Shorthaired Pointer.

I am currently working in Windsor in the finance dept. of a large company. I live in Willington and would love to mail a resume to you for any sort of administrative / payroll / clerical / finance related position you might have available in the future.

Is there an address I could send one to?

Thank you for your time,
Emily

I drove by the construction site yesterday and am curious as to what you plans are for a telephone/voicemail system. We specialize in those fields, in addition to data network and security systems. I would appreciate the chance to speak with someone. I can be reached at [email protected]

Hi Teresa, Long time no see. I worked with you at Vet Specs during your internship. I am looking for a part time job as a receptionship when you open. My husband even adopted you as his sister one Halloween. I am soon to be a grandmother of triplets so it is only part time I am seeking for now. Email me to discuss Vet Specs now. Not the same at all!!! Talk soon. Kathy

Hello, Dr. Love. I'm guessing your name says it all! I have an AAS in Veterinary Technology from SUNY Delhi and worked in a very busy small animal practice for several years. I worked with my fearful rescue dog and we attained therapy dog pet partners at her advanced age of 12 and were recertified when she was 14 and deaf (I taught her some sign language). I'm currently working with a fearful rescue from SC. Having just lost my job at a major insurance company, I'd love to have the opportunity to speak with you. I hope I've piqued your interest enough to get in touch with me! S.M. Hall

Hi Teresa, Now with six dogs in the house we need a vet that is close and GOOD, I know from personal experience that you are very good. The facility looks great,a little like Noah's Ark. Let us know when you have the ribbon cutting. I know this has taken you a long time. Good for you,you deserve to be the boss this time. You went thru hell in your internship as the only female to get where you are today. Good Luck. Kathy

As of Dec 08, Dr. Love indicated a June/July '09 opening date. Long past that with no comment. There has been no further communication about any aspect of this operation. Something isn't right here and it is incumbent upon the business owners to keep the community (and hopefully prospective customers) updated.

After a long and complicated journey we will be opening the hospital on March 17, 2010. We will begin taking appointments beginning February 20th. The hospital number as of 2/20/10 is 860-429-Love(5683), or 860-429-Pets(7387) or 860-429-Vets (8387). Our website now under construction is www.lovevetcenter.com . We have a few positions left for our opening team and are interviewing candidates with veterinary experience currently. If you are interested in joining our team and have experience, please submit you resume to 451 River Road, Willington, CT 06279. When the hospital is open we will have applications available for positions that open as we grow. Thank you for all your comments and questions during the construction process. Despite the prolonged process (as a direct result of the faltering economy and unstable banking community) I am proud of the final result of many people's hard work, comittment to quality craftsmanship and diligence.

Would not recommend this place. Saw this Dr. and because my dog was a rescue and she was afraid of it she wanted me to put him to sleep. He is doing great and had some issues but was nothing that time and patience couldn't improve. I will not take my pets here. I use Dr. Bach in Tolland. He is a true vet. He cares about the animal not just the almighty buck.
