Illegals are the dregs of mexico - the losers who can't make it in their home country. Give them american citizenship and they will all go on welfare and bankrupt us.

Of course it will increase the economy. More people equal a larger economy that is obvious. Prices will increase due to demand and wages will drop because of a surplus in labor. In other words the rich get richer and the middle class and poor will see increases in the cost of living and a decrease in wages. This has been happening since the 1986 amnesty when illegal immigration increased to the historic levels we see today. Amnesty will of course result in another increase in illegal immigration as employers shed the newly legalized employees and look for illegal aliens to replace them.
