5.7 magnitude earthquake shakes Alaska
The U. S. Geological Survey reports a magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck at 4:01 a.m. Monday in northwest Alaska.

Been quite a few quakes near Noatak in the past month. Appears to be the N. arm of the Beringia rift. No sign of volcanism about now though but may be part of the events that squeeze magma into the volcanic fields near the Bering strait, such as the Lost jim cinder cone.
