NEIC initially listed this event as being a thrust with either NW, or SE direction. A look over the sftershock patterns & a crude map plot (lack of previous seismicity option nowadays), has indicated that it is a pop up with BOTH faults active & the island likely to have gone up in the world.
Was an interesting news item, appears to be part of Phillipine sea/South China convergence from the moment tensor. The position indicates that it is not a part of Sanghie arc convergence as it is too far north.
