Saw that one on the NEIC.
This one is an outer rise earthquake in the descending plate. The Mendocino area is more compressed than Cascadia so the E. part of the Gorda plate is now transform faulting into the 1700 footprint which decompressed in a WNW vector off California.
The NW vector area of the Gorda arc remains compressed around the Mendcino area and with an average 500 year lead time, there appears to be a 200 year gap before the next tsunamigenic megathrust @ the Gorda arc.
have a nice day: Ag
