Arkansas is part of the New Madrid earthquake zone.
A new website is measuring pressure in the area and can give early warning of earth quakes on the fault system. A recent quake 30 miles from the sensor, produced a reading of 117 several hours before the quake was recorded by seismic stations...The range of this sensor is several hundred miles however..Many have noted what effects the New Madrid also effects other areas of the United States..This does seem to be the case very often. The live advanced sensor has been operating since January of 2013 and is now publicly online starting this week at this weblink- bookmark it.
