I'm willing to bet that the feds called the sheriff's department about an hour before they raided this place to tell them what was going on. guider them probably asked to be the one to lead the guy to the car on tv for election purposes. he an jimmy davis. now, we all know that guider has no idea what is going on from a law enforcement standpoint, but what is funny is that they are keeping aikens out of sight until after the election (noticed he wasn't on tv). so, I wouldn't be so quick to congratulate the sheriff's dept on this bust. the were called as a courtesy

I had a thought-if Steve Cook is such a hard-working, knowledgeable narcotics officer-why is it that he has no cases in Loudon Co.? Seems to me a person would want to take care of their home & family first, everybody I know does. In General Sessions court he has not prosecuted a case recently. He had 1 in 2006 & 3 in 2007 & the 3 came from the same arrest. They were Hispanics, got assessed thousands of $$ in fine & costs & were promptly deported. I checked Criminal Court too & it's about the same, he's got a subpoena this term tho' on another officer's case. Before somebody gets all huffy-I don't work for Guider, but I do know who to call for public records at the courthouse. Just wondering why???

well, how about one of these two theories...1st, if the sheriff's dept had any advanced knowledge of this deal, they would have popped it two weeks ago before early voting........or, they have been sitting on it for months waiting to spring it before the election, in the process allowing meth products to hit the street for their own political gain. there is not way billy hall had anything do with this until the feds let them get in the game after it was a blowouit....nice try though guys

Here is a challenge for ya go check the facts but will not everything public record in time and it will show what happened. Also name me two only two felony drug arrests steve cook has made this year. Then name one(1)felony drug arrest he had in 2007 and how many grand jury cases .You guys refuse to do it because you know the outcome. There has been patrol officers havemore drug cases then cook Thats a (fact)check it out yourself you scared aint ya. Not taking up for billy hall but early voting and all that beleive it or not has not anything to do with it stupid.Ive got some advise for ya READ!!!!

I'm beginning to feel ignored. Nobody wants to acknowledge my questions in #9 comment. Maybe Steve can't/won't answer why he's made no arrest in Loudon County for years. District-wide, how many has he successfully prosecuted without calling in the TBI or Feds.? A lot of voters including me, want to know. Is he not interested/capable of making his home safe? Even for his grandchildren, although he only see them twice a year at the ex's house & can't recall their names??? Now THAT'S a dedicated father & public servant!!

curious, do you mean to say that "the billy hall show" missed a drug case? surely you don't mean to suggest that he needs nelp or let one fall through the cracks. while we're on the topic of questions, which department has had the most officers (and their wives) indicted since 2004 in east tennessee.....give up?...that's right, the Loudon County Sheriff's Department. more than the much larger department's in the area, you know, chattanooga, knoxville, tri-cities....wanna take a stab at that one, curious

Hey curious every time we start talking facts about steve not doing a damn thing . We hear the same old "the officers wife got into trouble "Hey we will give you that one. Now we still wait for you to explain why the big drug officer of the year has done "nothing" I even ask another question. Why was he allowed to work for the DA's office and not do a thing. With all the drugs going on .There is (no) way a real drug officer would not have any arrests.I guess that explains when you see a drug dealer with about 3 of his friends at night in a car at 2am with a Steve Cook sign in their window like some type of damn hall pass .That explains it dont it.If he wins these are the people his men will be arresting and I wonder who side they will be on then. Quite pathetic.Oh by the way he has family that has done things to should we hold that against him hmm.

hey, here is a question for the sheriff aikens fan club. I keep reading about how steve is gonna put drinnon back to work. first I want to say that IS NOT gonna happen, but my question is this. drinnon was obviously fired for stealing electricity. ok, he's a thief(like a lot of the deputies and their wives), I agree he should have been fired. my question was how was he allowed to stay employed for several years and not only that, but promoted if he was such a criminal mastermind. how did he elude the detection of this county's finest law enforcement agency (excuse me while i hackle)for all those years while he broke law after law? wow, these guys sure are labeled AFTER they leave the sheriff's office
