Kudos to the Law Enforcement community here in Van Buren County for a job well done. All of the negative post that have surfaced around here about Sheriff Evans should be null and void by now. Its obvious that this is a hard working group of guys. Great Job, and a big Thanks go out to them.

the sherriff department cant make the charges stick when they arrest people for manufacturing. the feds had to come in an clean house for them. if you dont beleive me count how many the county has sent to the pen not many compaired to how many that have went to court and beat it. I do support them for gettin rid of the meth but if the sherriffs department had've made these charges stick the first time these people were busted maybe it wouldnt have gotten as bad as it is here.

What are you trying to say? Please re-post in English. No punctuation makes this post very difficult to comprehend.

well you have got to get a better judge than the one here now plus the police have to keep up with the stuff that they catch them with ,that's how they beat the system if the police dont push it the judge sure wont and it according to who you are around here.

Don't believe everything you read. Even the Southern Standard. They didn't even have the right name of the people in their photographs. Some of their 'so called' facts also don't appear to be based on current information. Have to agree though that it's time to clean up the meth. NOTHING good has ever came from that poison.

O my! Some of you people seriously have no clue! Yes people get arrested and charged for the crimes they commit. Yes they go to jail, yes some get out scott free. Big freaking deal! Spencer is a small town and just like every small town if you know the "right" people yes you can get out of it. Now that we have that clear....if u DO NOT know how the system works please please keep your mouth shut! Just because someone gets caught cooking meth does not mean they are going to do prison time on the first offense. The federal goverment conducts investigations on different accounts for different reasons. Can anyone tell me when the last time the "feds" done a "round up" like this??? No because they have to "investigate" criminals. Some of you people want to throw everyone under the jail on the first offense, no you can't do that and neither can the feds. Seriously until you get some schooling and do their job please keep your trap shut. Yes the Van Buren County Sheriffs Department did help in this for your information. If they hadn't caught them in the first place there would of never been a reason for the feds to look at these criminals. And if you noticed the feds did stop at the sheriffs dept before they started their "round up." So yes the VBCSD had everything to do with this. And I know some of you have family that got picked up and my prayers go out to you. I just hope this a wake up call for many of them to straighten up. I know of a few of the names that just got their families started and hope and pray they straighten up for the childrens sake.

The kids are always the ones who suffer...But everyone needs to remember WHO is really at fault and that is the ones that were arrested, Not the children and not the LAW..but the parent!!!! They should have thought about this before they did this to their own kids. So everyone should be furious with them!!!
