Pretty stiff? He got just more than half what he could've gotten. He's been arrested several times for the same thing and shows no evidence of changing.

Sorry, if any of the current strategies worked then we would not have a GROWING heroin problem in the county. You should build more prisons and spend more $$$$ on incarceration of cheesy low level dealers like Brown for 8 yrs.

you are so right! It has been proven that despite the possibility of incarceration and punishment, it does not deter crime..especially drug related crime. the real problem is the investigators in this county (maybe the rotten ones have retired now) spent years playing games with the addicts around here, paying them to bust people so they could go get high again. and the problem with this strategy is that the addict isn't as stupid as we would like to think..they are not going.to hand their dealer over to the cops for a couple reasons..1) they wouldn't have a "hook up" 2) any half way big dealer would put A cap in somebody's ass . So the addict gets busted, approached by detectives to tell on someone, and the addict goes after a middle man, or another addict to get the drugs for.the bust. then they are out getting high and getting it from the big man with better products and prices, and the police think.they have accomplished something. in reality they haven't done anything but give a junkie money to get high and put another junkie in jail in junkie #1s place. its ridiculous. they need to put in good ol detective work and bust the big boys, or nothing will ever change.

How many heroin doses sold to equal one dose for the addict? Probably 4 or 5, so you have a perpetual cycle of trafficking amongst many layers of dealers and users. You could open some sweet Treatment Facilities for the price Taxpayers will pay for Brown's $ 480,000 sentence. The pipeline is really making progress 4 criminal organizations and corrupt Government officials in several places. WHERE THERE IS $$$$ TO BE MADE, there will be hands to grab it.

I only agree with you on one count "maybe the rotten ones have retired", and yes that would be KEITH LEVAN. I seemed to have noticed the drug busts are UP in Logan county. I do not believe that it is a coincidence since Levan retired. Bust them all! Why let any one of them go? And by the way, how do YOU know so much about this circle of drugs?

The busts are Up because there is more heroin than ever before and the junkies are getting more desperate. How do you expect to win the drug war using the same nonsense as before? We could spend the $$$ a lot more wisely. The only ones who really benefit are the FAT, DRUNKARD cops. These busts are very easy to set up and there is a never ending supply of pills and hard drugs. Job security 101.

And WHY do you think there is more heroin than ever before? Do you think just maybe if the detectives had been doing their jobs a few years back before it got so bad that maybe it wouldn't be this bad now? You are ridiculous to think that police officers are benefitting from this mess. Well if you think you know how "easy" it is to bust someone than why don't you volunteer your time and help this community out if you know how to fix it?

How hard is it to have drug addicts turn on one another for favors and freedom? There is more heroin because huge amounts are being brought in from Afganastan and the price has collapsed. The cops in Ohio are still obsessed with busting marijuana, THEY HAVE NO CLUE, the world has changed and they still act like MIAMI VICE from 1986.
The worst part is the pitiful Teatment Programs in Nohio for addicts, I guess all that money goes to the LARD ASS cops to go bust more pathetic junkies , and tell themselves they are doing something good for society.

The "WAR ON DRUGS" is the cops Cops Vietnam. It is NEVER going to be won. Now Dumbass Waste of Money wants us to hug the dealers and dopers and pay for any treatment on top of their welfare checks and foodstamps. I've got no sypathy for these selfish people who neglect their children, steal from there families. They have done more damage to the people around them then they have done to themselves. As for Keith Brown, he has been dealing crack and heroin for almost 15 years. Let him ROT.

Until you realize opiate addiction is mostly a MEDICAL problem and figure a way to address this at a users level, then you can forever repeat the cycle of dealers and junkies. Pure insanity from the top to the bottom, 90 years ago Prohibition failed in the same way.

Its a self induced condition. The MEDICAL problem is all of the overdoses, diseases and other illnesses that WE ALL PAY FOR since the majority of the junkies have no job or insurance. Both the dealers and junkies are a cancer on our community.
