That's why the towns drug problem is growing because the K9 officer spends his time napping on I55.

So we got a $75000 education and nothing is being done! We have had multiple heroin overdoses in the last month alone and they have all been under the age of 23! Starting at the highschool level is just stupid and to late, bring back the DARE program for grade schoolers, do something, not just write an article every couple months in the damn journal or hold a meeting once a month at the library for a group that says they want the whole community involved with them etc but have it at 4 pm on a Monday afternoon! Thats sooo convenient for the working class in this town isnt it!

I asked my kids about the drugs when they were in school and shared my knowledge of what was available when I was in school. Drug awareness, just like everything else, begins at home. When my youngest was in, before 2007, triple c's were the thing to do. 3 different cold medicines. The kids know drugs are bad for them. They are making informed decisions. It seems like most of the deaths are coming after they are out of school a few years. I wonder why they are having such a hard time adjusting after h.s.?

I just got back from down south and I noticed a Braidwood cop on the southbound side of 55 with a motorist pulled over after 3:00 P.M. This was almost at the midpoint from the Coal City exit and the Kennedy Road exit. My question is why would he be on southbound 55 anyway and I thought that was state police territory? Secondly, why would he be out there with schools letting out? I guess I am uncertain where the Braidwood police jurisdiction starts and ends.

I agree it starts at home with being taught right from wrong but there is still peer pressure, wanting to fit in, the list could go on and on. Do you think just because they finally died a couple years after high school that they weren't doing drugs before they graduated!? It usually starts with less lethal drugs and builds up as usage and dependence increases.

Same thing happening all over, It's past the kids lighting up a j, or having a beer. They are going right into the H. Accessibility, I have heard kids say , it's easier to get then cigarettes. Personally I don't even know what it looks like. But I'd be watching businesses that don't do a lot of biz, yet always have a lot of cash. Not always , but it's usually a sign of something funky. Like an auto shop, or a plant nursery to name a few. Not many customers, but always buying things. Makes you wonder.???

They be out soon enuff. Out of respect for the families I won't post them in here. But as long as the judges keep let these drug dealers off easy. This will never stop.

There will be another drug dealer to replace any you lock up - just the nature if the beast . STAY INVOLVED WITH YOUR KIDS LIVES ! If they hang out with shady trouble making kids WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK THEY ARE DOING !!??? Not hanging out watching movies or playing games .

Yep it starts with supposedly harmless drugs, like cold meds. Television drug commercials used to be illegal. Now the commercials tell us what drugs we should be asking the doctors for. Feel blue? Take a pill. But it may cause you to want to commit suicide! Better sex? Take a pill. Want to lose weight, stay awake longer, or just generally have a better more meaningful life? Just take drugs! It's sociatal. Just my opinion of one of the contributing factors.

re: braidwood battles. we will continue the fight against the dragon currently residing in the cooling lakes. he breathes fire so citizens should be at high alert and should not approach dragon. if seen stay still because dragons evovled from the trex and they cant see you if you are standing still. the most surefire way to stay out of the dragons wrath and damage plane is to just stay out of godley. and away from the cooling lakes. repeat the dragon can fly and breathe fire. should be only approached buy the BRAIDWOOD DRAGON BATTLERS OR LABPD. WE HAVE INFORMATION THAT THE DRAGON MAY OWN A VEHICLE IN GARDNER AND HE LIKES TO CRUISE 55 but only between Braidwood and Gardner. OTHER THAN THAT> he is at the cooling lake. we will continue our valinte efforts and keep patrolling 55 because he will slip up soone or later. peace to the citizens of the ninth division...
