I have had back pain every since after i had my daughter 4 years ago and i got an epidural. And every since then my entire back hurts and nothing works my husband will masage my back but as soon as its over the pain comes back again. I havent gone to the doctors since i noticed the pain 4 years ago because i had no insurance until a couple months ago. and my friend told me my pain is considered chronic and i SHOULD qualify as long as 1 or 2 doctors records show i was in there for "chronic" Back pain. there is a clinic in portland that actually helps you get the card. She is gonna help me go through the process and as soon as i get mine i will find out for ya'll too!

I am a 53 year old woman that has suffered from high blood pressure for 8 years. I have been on several B/p medicines with bad side effects. I was put on Lisinopril 20 mg about a year ago. This was the worst drug of all the side effects were terrible unable to consentrate, forgetting the time 2 minutes after looking at the time, joint pain, blurred vision, extreme fatique, and the worst of all was severe chest pain.My doctor gave me ekgs, bloodwork which all came back normal. He then put me on cyclobenzapr for muscle relaxant for the chest pain, this did not help so he then added nitro pills which did help the chest pain. I took my self off All this poisin about 2 weeks ago and I fill human again filling better everyday. Except for my B/P has been running 144/103 and refusing to take any more B/p medicine my friend suggested vaporizing, I did and at first my B/p went up then about a hour later it was 121/82 that was the best reading I have had in several years with the medicines. My question is do I qualify for OMMP. Thank you

I was in a car accident last summer and went to the ER four weeks after to have my back checked out. It was four weeks after and all they told me was I had a bleeding contusion around my spine. It apparently healed but I still have back pain occasionally. Only when doing excessive bendin and such. Iv also been recently discharged from the military due to the fact I'm deaf in my right ear. Do I qualify?

I broke my scaphoid a few years back. I had to have reconstuctive bone surgery. 2 pins and a screw that is still in there to this day. Post surgery my wrist has had a consistant dull pain. When I'm using my wrist it gets very painful. Also around weather changes the pain increases. I'm curious is this could be concidered chronic pain. I currently take nothing for it. I just try not to use it

I have major ADD/ADHD and I know that it has worked wonders for those pateints but I knew long ago the effect of marijuana and want to know if I could be prescribed marijuana to treat this.
There is only anectodal evidence that using pot is beneficial for people with ADHD. In principle, the psychoactive cannabinols reduce mental performance and focus. However, it is very possible that cannabis might be effective as a "sedative" (however this is dose dependent). It certainly impairs mental performance in both chronic and casual users. However, some "secondary" symptoms of ADHD, such as depression etc. might be positively affected. But again, ADHD is not an official indication for the use of cannabis in the US States where it is currently legal. I also find the varying amounts of psychoactive cannabinols in homegrown cannabis a problem. Like with all plant-based drugs, we need to establish a reasonable concentration range of actives in medical cannabis products. All legal cannabis should actually come with a label showing the concentration of actives in the drug. Otherwise, it is a drug without science. Just smoke a joint of something and call this medicine, I am sorry doesn't fly for me. Also, usually the FDA decides what is a medicine or not. And there was a federal cannabis dispensing program here in the US. The most common indications for medical cannabis use are chronic pain, multiple sclerosis, emesis and nausea from chemotherapy, wasting syndrome, AIDS and cancer.
Lastly, we need to emphasize that cannabis has an hallucinogenic effect and can disort reality (but usually for the better) ;-)

Hello. I am diagnosed with Manic Depression, or Bi-polar disorder. I have been on Valproic Acid (an anti convulsant) for the past 10 years. I would like to know if my illness qualifies for treatment with marijuana.
Thankyou and God bless,
P.S. Valproic Acid is the same medication given to treat convulsions in folks with Epilepsy.
Billy, I have the same problem. I've been suffering all my life from what i thought was just depression. Anyway, I've tried 8 different meds so far. Anti depressants, anti-convulants, etc. I have major anxiety & even after all the medication i've tried, nothing has worked. Except marijuana!! I'm in yamhill county too, so I'm hoping you got the answer you were looking for and can help me out with some info? [email protected]

I am 18 and I suffer from migraine headaches when I am not using MJ, and I am interested in getting a card to make my use legal. I have not been to the doc for my migraines yet because my mom has them and when I don't smoke I have used her meds. I am interested in finding a doctor who will help me out outside of the THCF & MAMA's clinics because I can't really afford to pay for their services on top of the $100 fee for the card from the state, and my parents are definitely not going to help me out on this one. Is anyone willing to help recommend a physician who isn't opposed to the idea of signing for a card? Pretty please?

hello, i am a 24 year old male and I have a few aliments for which i have cronic pain. recently i crashed hard while skiing and have had back pain ever since and the doctor said that it is my lower back tendon that connects to my pelvis and it takes a long time to heal. also i have a cyst on my testicale and at times, for weeks at a time, it is just painful to the touch. last but not least almost a year ago i tore my shoulder and it always hurts from overuse. I was wondering where I might find a doctor to prescribe me a Marijuana card in the eugene oregon area. I take it already for for pain but not OMMP. thank you

These more liberal cannabis laws in the US to allow people with certain medical conditions to legally obtain cannabis are really a blessing. It is not only that the drug is legally available to those who qualify, the individual also gets actively involved in the cause and his/her own health and can find optimal conditions not only for using unadulterated drug material but also to quit later in case his/her condition improves. Thanks to all of those who made it happen!
