With 2 Dracut police officers named in the drug case, both need to be replaced. How can anyone trust them at all after this. I do not care about their family history, they're the one we have to deal with, no one else, unless specified. If the town manager cannot see this, then he's not qualified to run this town. Let's get real here.

This whole entire article is an ALLEGATION...

An allegation (also called adduction) is a claim of a fact by a party in a pleading, which the party claims to be able to prove. Allegations remain assertions without PROOF, until they can be PROVED.

SO let me get this straight in an investigation the Dracut police, and the state police, oh and the FBI are involved in could not find enough evidence for fault, Erin Smith, Lowell and Dracuts personal "peoples detective" knows all the facts? What your writing may be in a report written in 2003, but you fail to mention that know charges were brought, and that the case is dead. Stop trying to win a Pulitzer prize off the local section of the newspaper and slow down. You are 23, and getting ahead of yourself. This entire article is a complete attack on Micheal Dubois and his entire family. It is borderline Libel, and slander. You fail to mention the other suspects in this case, oh and the number of them, why is this omitted from the article you may ask, oh yea because there is an astronomical number of suspects. Yet you choose to personally attack Billy, and Mike. You also make it like they have both already been convicted, guess what people...THEY ARE NOT.

Micheal Dubois, and Billy are both stand up guys. Everyone has made mistakes, and has a past. I am sure even Erin is guilty of a few no no's herself. The difference in this case is that people's lives are being ruined and effected by false truths, and hear say. Its sad, and if anything needs to be brought to JUSTICE it is this publication right hear. For its gross exaggeration, and its hiring of babies to write bogus stories to sell papers. It should make its readers as sick as it makes me!

Oh and for the record, if you dont believe me read an article from a month back where she attacked my restaurant, oh and again Micheal Dubois, surprise surprise! With FALSE allegations that when everything came to fruition we actually did the town a service! So People please forget the hype, realize the personal vendetta here its sad and petty.

I have some missing hamburgers from Chubby's! Please Erin come help out, your detective skills are out matched, FBI didnt find anything. My lead suspect....THE HAMBURGLER, ON A HOVER CRAFT, WITH THE CANDLESTICK...or something like that...PRINT IT...

If Dracut cannot figure out what happened to the pot WHY WOULD THEY HIRE AL DONOVAN to try to solve the problem. He couldn't figure out what was going on within his own department. ( Other than how to assure his favorites key positions and the highest pensions possible).

Since the Lowell Sun has now become a tabloid and doesn't seem to focus on the real issues surrounding our communities I figured I would send you a tip for your next cover story.

Headline:

"Dracut Deputy latest endorser for the Shake Weight For Men"

Opening Paragraph:(Run On Sentence, but what else would you expect)

In an attempt to pay his steep legal fees for the mess he has created for his involvement in demolishing the good names of two innocent officers, while turning a blind eye to the real culprit, the Deputy is the newest endorser of the Shake Weight for Men.

Second Paragraph:(*Spoiler Alert*)

When reached for comment the Deputy announced that none other than the Lieutenant of the Detective Bureau would fulfill the spotter position for the Shake Weight for Men commercial. Furthermore, he stated he is enthralled to embark on this venture with a man he feels encompasses the same morals and standards he himself adheres too. He rattled off examples such as, but not limited to: liar, coward, unethical, drunk who abuse their power of authority.

In closing, the Deputy said that when working out, he always follows one motto. Safety First. He wanted to clarify that he only adheres to this motto when working out, and working out only. He went on to say he would never apply such a method in any other area of his life. That is why he felt it was crucial to recruit a second spotter. He is happy to announce, that the Rat Sergeant from the early night shift would be filling the spotter number two position.

When Spotter 1 and Spotter 2 were reached for comment, while practicing for their upcoming duties; they said they were thrilled to stand behind the Deputy on this fantastic voyage.

Just so you know, NEMLEC's Al Donovan also assisted Tyngsborough's police chief in a crazy investigation of a 3rd shift officer. Neighbors contacted the police department to report the officer was at home for half his shift each night. Instead of dealing with the allegations, the chief called Donovan who suggested putting GPS on that ONE patrol car! So for weeks the GPS tracked the failure of the officer to be on duty making his rounds and there was NO BACKUP arranged to cover the town or the other officer on duty for that entire time!
The investigative report was called a "confidential personnel matter" but the Lowell Sun filed a public records request and the documents were subsequently released weeks later.
My question is: if Al Donovan is a retired police chief and now an apparently highly paid consultant, wouldn't you think part of his investigation would include notifying the municipality that the documents he's presenting are public records that should be released upon request?

There was no "independent" investigation. Al Donovan never interviewed a single suspect. He told Piendak that he took the word of Chartrand as to what witnesses had said. The manager was not happy about that little tidbit. Why do these cops still have their jobs? Because even though the town wants blood the manager knows the case is a lie and he has no legal grounds for termination.

Who are the other suspects? Any other DPD family members or friends? All suspects should be named not just one. The Lowell Sun is the new "Enquirer" no need for the facts.
