Minneapolis Police Find 4 Pounds Of Marijuana In Lyndale Garage

A Minneapolis man has been charged with felony drug possession after police say they found four pounds of marijuana in his garage.

Besides, stoners do pay taxes. They work jobs that range from clerk at SA to dog catcher to hay bailer to CEO. A good number drive cars and pay state and federal gas taxes and they buy tobacco and liquor and pay the grossly inflated and unfair sin taxes. Just like the rest of us. You and I are in agreement when it comes to cannabis. Legalize and tax it just like tobacco and alcohol. The government has no place regulating what we do to our own bodies. The amount of resources and money that would be freed up by this one simple change in the law is in the 100's of billions.

I'm a little surprised, I must admit, by your position on cannabis. You lament the right wing nuts, but if I'm reading you correctly you're taking the right wing stance on pot. Of course it would be better if marijuana users paid taxes to the government rather than give profits to Mexican cartels. But really, isn't it illogical for the government to be involved in cannabis at all? Our tax dollars could be better spent in a hundred other ways, but the prohibition business is lucrative and much too profitable to give up.
