you know the mother is not that old, but gettng close to the age of 60, which according to YAY, "What's the point" - per her commments about a grandmother arrested for BREAKING THE LAW.
Hey Yay should we let her go scott free? I mean come on she is almost 60, right?

There are so many drug issues for the same reason that there are so many Dunkin' Donuts, or so many convenience stores, or so many fast food joints... Economic Opportunity. If nobody in Southington needed heroin (demand), then there would be no dealers (supply). All your whining about "be a mom" is criminally naive. Undereducated? Need Income? Don't want to make $5 and hour makin' da donutz? There are few options out there... Hard work toward a middle class professional goal lacks that certain.. how do you say here in Unmerica... Instant Gratification.

Oh.. and while some people in law enforcement think that publicizing drug busts is a warning to wannabe dealers (or even wannabe users), what it often does is signal that there is a demand/supply inbalance just waiting to be met... because heroin isn't the kind of take it or leave it recreational high that you can vanquish with a PR campaign. It just forces new dealers in, or forces the users into surrounding towns.

On the upside, maybe if enough of these articles are read by the public there will be a realization that:

Southington has a Heroin Problem.

Shhh... not so loud... the neighbors might hear!

Does an individual need to take a class to realize that selling Hey-ron is wrong? Southington does indeed have a severe heroin problem, but keep that hush-hush.

An 18 year old teen died of a heroin overdose. Ironically, the man who lives and owns the house he died in also lived in Southington.

With at least two deaths that I know of we clearly see the drug (Heroin) problem in Southington. We have a new volunteer group in town (what a joke) Education is not the answer. Every kid in town has heard the rap and are pretty much sick of it. When you catch a woman with 100+ bags of heroin and release her due to who the hell knows what, this is a problem. Why can't the police get it right the first time, and get the people of the street. You can start all the groups you want but if you can't hold them when their caught red handed then... what's the point?
